I meant to post on Friday I bought some sun tan lotion from Mr Ts, factor 30, own brand, SEL £3. Checked receipt and I paid £5 for it. 5 mins later £4 back :) Might be worth looking out for.

At last there may be an element of excitement in this shopping trip!!!!
Thank you PD...AND mhoc for trying your best to inspire me...it really is appreciated and its one of the reasons I love the elite...

I did have the T suncream written down to have a look at ,not because of the potential DTD ...but because it does seem a good price anyway...

5 kilos of strawbs picked this morning and 3 kilos of goosegogs. Still got loads of jam left from last year so might have a year off from jam making. Don't know what to do with the strawbs as everyone is getting sick of the blooming things already and loads more to come. Also looks like a bumper crop of rasps on its way too. Can you put garden produce on Freecycle I wonder? icon5.gif

    Poor you :rotfl:;)

I'm sure I've seen things like rhubarb on freecycle, but not sure if there are local rules about it - you might get quite a few responses to sift through though :rotfl:

OK Ive got a slightly unusual problem :D

I won a twitter Aldi draw a couple of weeks ago and I was expecting a box of goodies but instead a £10 Aldi voucher turned up :T

These unexpected gift vouchers are like solid gold and although its not a massive amount I still want to spend it on something "significant" although I am not sure what constitutes significant

So I am stuck for ideas - we have a house full of wine so drink is not the answer. I did think of plants or suchlike but the quality of their plants has not been brilliant this year - I like the tiny thumb nail ones that you can pot on but I've not seen them recently and its a bit soon for the winter pansies.

Sadly I didn't get the latest Aldi voucher but they might not have allowed me to use vouchers and the gift voucher.

Ive got until August 1st to make my mind up so any ideas are welcome.

Look on their website and see what offers they've got coming up?

They had summer bedding plants a couple of weeks ago, and I think the quality actually wasnt bad :)

Do you live on a path where people walk past often?
We back onto quite a busy road/path and a few houses down often has plants/strawberries out the front with a tin for people to leave money in (usually £1 a punnet)
    Just an idea?

I really want to try one of those, love bbq pulled pork. Happy belated second birthmas ;)

I spent last Wednesday - Sunday working at a Taste of London in Regent's Park. I was very MSE, they gave out so many free samples and bottles of water that I didn't need to take any lunch with me. Also scored some free tickets for my brother and his missus (would've been £56 otherwise ), 3 £10 Mahiki cocktails, a £10 recipe book, lots and lots of Lindt including a 100g bar of cherry intense, about 15 x 50p off Lurpak cooking range vouchers (run out in Nov.) with a cardamom & orange shortbread every time, and a free steak dinner with dulce leche ice cream after :D Occasionally I did some work too :D Also free parking on Sunday. Some times I marvel that I get paid to work at these things!
ooh, you did well PD :T

Yum, i love homemade jam.. Right, i'm looking on freecycle for fruit :rotfl: my next door-but-one neighbour knocked on sunday night with a massive bucket of strawbs for us (a paint sized tin). was well chuffed and the kids had smoothies yesterday morning. Not made a dent in it yet.
