A slight misinterpretation on this - Mum should use mum's glasses. I wasn't saying tweets should loan her (i.e. tweets') glasses (:rotfl:).
Glad to be of correction service. Again:(:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. (Your frowning rather than mine folks;):rotfl:.)0 -

:D It would drive you potty imagine listening to commentators on footie match watching footie and reading what commentators said a sentence ago
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
You believe?
No, I don't think it would in fact. I'd like to have a commentary on the commentary:rotfl:.
Again, though, see, my brain handles loads and loads of simultaneous information that such a thing would fit in more to me (though I imagine it might be confusing and complex to the average person (if there is any such thing)). Am I calling you merely "average"?:eek:_pale_ - nah, I don't mean such a thing!
(Phew!:))
I think the point with the commentary was that TV commentary is quite different to radio commentary. On television, the commentators assume (or can assume) that people can see the action (or at the game, action or total lack of action:rotfl:). However, to someone who is blind or visually-impaired, that will be missing. Whereas on radio commentary, the commentators have to describe to you more what is happening.
To be fair, on the World Cup - particularly BBC I feel - commentary, the commentators (on TV, I did switch once, during a segment, to the 5 Live commentary over the visual) have been very good - even telling me that the players' body language was 'poor' on one recent match. That was Switzerland wasn't it, when the Swiss were losing dramatically (against France)? (Was that BBC?) But, you see, to me, that isn't there and does need to be pointed out to me. (I suspect the commentators may have done it haphazardly, or off-the-cuff rather than truly being a thought about assisting viewers with autistic spectrum disorders.) I've noticed a few news reports (maybe I think about this more nowadays?) very recently have mentioned these things - David Cameron's body language with the Russian president and thank you to John Simpson for telling me something in relation to that, with some other thing, recently.
"You can see from the body language..." (Well, no, I can't!:rotfl: (Example actually of where there is thus a failure to take account that the viewer might have Asperger's syndrome.)) Ooh, speak of the devil! (John Simpson now on BBC.)
Don't recall if that (the quote above) was John Simpson or not - and nothing being suggested - or for that matter actually said!:D - that it was. He is a good journalist IMO. (But, saying "You can see from the body language..." actually informed me that that was what the body language was and thus does help in that way.)0 -

Or even stop amending my last post.
...And there I was... for many years and decades, assuming that I was normal and saw things the way most people did.
Wayne Rooney just on TV (BBC News) now - now, what does his face say?
And Hart's? (Sorry, you have to tell me every one.) Now Rooney again - :doh:now on this occasion. :doh:I need a flimin' commentary!!:rotfl::rotfl:
(...What's Olly Foster thinking right now?)0 -
Sorry, I'm staring (at Olly Foster). Stop staring Savvy!
Just total blankness and lacking any clues at all to reveal to me how they feel.
Well, Rooney and Hart are obviously upset/extremely disappointed aren't they? But, as for Olly Foster's more subtle expressions...
(...I have no clue!:rotfl:)0 -
