Thanks Ts :) I can imagine how scary it must of been for your daughter ,I don't think we fully appreciate how people with hearing problems cope with everyday noises that we find so normal.

On a brighter note my sister has to keep going back for adjustments to the sound, so as when the brain starts recognising sounds it gets quieter so when this happens everything goes quiet again so has had it turned up again....just received a text saying....OMG I make a noise when I wee :rotfl::rotfl:

She said it was like a brain explosion !! And like a ice cream head x100 :) She is 32 :)

Aww bless her, having a tinkle can be pretty loud. :rotfl:

I wish her all the best, guess will take time, but sounding positive. :T

Can anyone tell me the miserly way to hand over a house sale

as my son is buying the house so needs no surveys etc done

but do we need a solicitor or can we just do it ourselves at the land registry

    Any advice welcome
My son found a solicitor online. It was much cheaper.

My apt vouchers have all appeared now. I'm a bit puzzled though - I has a£5 voucher left from last week with an expiry 8/7 and the date on that has changed to 16/7 ie same as the new batch.

Also , due to a slight miscalculation on my part, this weeks vouchers would have taken me a couple of £'s over the £100 monthly limit. But I don't seem to have been capped. I assumed that a new accounting period started on the 1st of each month - or does it go from when you first start ordering ? I want to be sure that it is safe to do another order on 1/7.

For distraction I have just started to look at the planning application our local council has put in for building a small estate close to us - actually its in 2 halves with a industrial lorry park in the middle and a pub on the outer edge.

The main road (40mph speed) comes off the by pass towards town then does a sharp right hand bend and narrows for a few yards and then does a sharp left hand bend and then the road goes along under a low rail bridge and into town. Its in the field in the mid section that they are building.

Yes the narrowed bit where the huge articulated lorries squeeze along to turn on and off forcing cyclists and walkers into the hedge.

Quite a few of the application pages wont open for me  so I am hoping that OH will print them off at work.

But I did get the travel plan frame work to open and now there seems to be an imaginary 10 minute walking circle around any development to make it sustainable.

    Who invented this imaginary circle?

so it says that shops are within range but I've used google maps and Nisa is 15 mins and there is an off license in the other direction which is about the same. There is no mention of the doctors, dentists, train station etc - all these far more than 10 mins away.
Apparently the YMCA is within 10 mins though - its not and anyway what would the normal everyday usage of the YMCA be?

The worst bit though is schools. There is no mention of location of high schools - not sure what the high school would be as this estate is between 2 but both are about 25 to 30 mins walk.

It also names what it thinks would be the catchment area primary school - again there are 3 so it could be any of them. It says its within a 10 minute walk and using google maps its easily 25 mins to 30 mins (assuming that you can even get across the dreadful 40mph road with articulated trucks) and the route is either along our lane - no pavements, no street lights, accident black spot or through another estate but access is under the rail bridge, along an unlit back route.

before I start a proper rant id better go and do something useful :)

    2 x KTC Chopped Tomatoes in Tomato Juice (400g) £0.50 £0.50
    2 x KTC Chick Peas in Salted Water (400g) £0.50 £0.50

4 for £1 in both from a womble 13.06 yesterday

thanks for this - I wonder if it would work with 4 chickpeas - lots of chick peas in the Jack Monroe book.

I think for safely I will stick to the 2 of us :T

MYs does not even show KTC

There's always hope..she said the doctor said it looks like she is beginning to pick up vibration noises but not voices which we were hoping .. She said she scratched her head and could hear something but couldn't put it together to realise that it was the scratching she could hear..if that makes sense .my sis has such determination I know she will make it work as much as she can :)
