Hi there. Noticed this on t.com earlier (may have already been posted, already been running, don't know as not caught up): £5 off £20 online spend on health/beauty. Net price of £5 for a shop after the £5 off and after it is £10 cheaper elsewhere. Assuming you want to commit your £10 PP refund to having to give it back to Mr T later against a further shop (online T PPs can be used online or instore can't they?).
Runs until 22/6, but watch the opposition at Mr A put their prices up.
That said wondering if the prices have been increased in Mr T so as to lose you the £5 off saving - unless you buy them very carefully in a targetted basket vs a specific competitor and are in the hands of Mr T itself as to whether or not the PP will pick up the item and prices and refund. These are the specific products that appear to count in the £20 spend:
http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=G00006835&icid=5off20health&beauty
Just beware that the below is from msm.co.uk, so you need to check a.com/sains.co.uk carefully as it's possible msm could make mistakes. Very useful though having the msm companion installed and then clicking on the product pages on t.com and immediately seeing the prices that the items should be elsewhere. Can buy multiples of same item, but remember only maximum of 10 the same, try not to exceed £20 else you are just losing, giving them more money, and only for same £5 and hopeful £10 PP, and need enough different items.
(Descriptions are those on t.com.)
Vs A
Colgate Toothpaste Advanced White 150ml - T £3.35 A £2.00
Colgate Total Advanced Freshening 125ml - buy one only and do not mix with any other 2 for £4 item else it's £0.00 to the PP. T £2.99 A £2.00
Colgate Total Advanced Whitening Med125 OR (not and) Colgate Toothpaste Total Advanced Freshening 125Ml T - buy maximum one of one only (do not buy both) and don't mix with other 2 for £4. T £2.99 A £2.00 (Boots 3 for 2 works out at two thirds of a penny cheaper:( than £2 and, for having to buy three:eek:)
Colgate Max White Toothpaste 100Ml T £2.67 A £1.60 But factor in lost of 25p for each one compared to going Avs S at £1.50. Could get two, or in twos, in T though at 2x £2.67 vs A 2 for £3.00 (then factor in loss of 30p for each 2 bought vs comparing Avs S on two)
2x (or 4x, 6x, etc.) Colgate Max Fresh Cool Mint Toothpaste 100ml £2.50x2 Any 2 for £3.00 (but is this not in Morries at £1.19:think: or is that a different version or maybe last week's M price?!?)
Oral B ProExpert All Around Clean Mint 75ml T £3.49 A £2.00 (these have been low of £1.24 previously elsewhere - so, maybe, pedantically, factor in another loss - of 76p)
Aquafresh Tingling Mint Mouthwash 150ml T £3.29 A £1.50
Listerine Coolmint Mouthwash 500Ml T £3.30 A £2.00 (no need to go for T's 2 for £5 mbuy;))
Colgate Mouthrinse Max White One 500Ml T £3.99 A £2.00 (lose a penny compared to buying from Ocado:rotfl:)
Oral-B Toothbrush Pro-Expert Pulsar Medium 35 T £6.00 A £2.50:rotfl::rotfl: Putting quite an amount in the hands of Mr T as to whether it will compare. (I so wish DTD price check were still on:rotfl:.)
Tesco Pro-Tech Compact Head Twin Pack Soft Brush 66p N/A (but do need to check around very carefully to see if anything Mr T might cast its net farther to and compare to A at much more expensive)
Sensodyne Precision Soft Toothbrush T £2.99/Any 2 for £5.00 A £2.00 each
Colgate Smiles 0-3 50Ml T £1.25 A £1.00 (But appears to have been 2 for 1 in T before, so another loss of 35.5p or even more if T doesn't compare. Or a loss of 41.95p (and a further 25p if T doesn't compare) if that 2 for 1 at T had had only items with same consistent individual price on them and thus Avs T would have bettered the '2 for 1' 64.5p price each))
Colgate Smile 6+ 50Ml T £1.25 A £1.00 (Here, your loss to factor in - how much is your £5 code really worth now? - is 22.6p for each one bought up to ten (and 47.6p for each one daft enough to be bought beyond that, plus any loss to the £10 T PP cap) - compared to buying Avs T when T was, allegedly, 86p at points earlier)
Oral B Satin Floss T £2.00 A £1.70 V.v. expensive IMO, compared to buying own brand Floss in M at 50p (and, who knows, with Dental Tape being 28p RTC there this week, that could go even lower) that, IMO, does exactly the same job
Oral-B Pro-Expert Premium Floss 40M T £4.00 A £2.99:eek::eek:. Give over!:rotfl: :think:Does "Premium" intend to mean implied 'better quality'? 10M less as well! In any event, I'm not prepared to pay a premium (which, to me, is an additional charge - I'd never pay an extra charge for anything or 'upgrade' for anything - another codeword, I feel, for get charged more for a service created in order to try to differentiate itself and charge people more). Do NOT upgrade!!
ProFormula Floss Single X 50M 75p N/A (Lose 25p compared to buying M Dental Floss)
Easy Flossing Disposable Flossers 24/40 £1.00 N/A (not sure if bigger pack for same price may be available in M?)
Vs S
Colgate Advanced Whitening Toothpaste 100ml T £2.99 S £1.50 But factor in 18p loss for each one you buy, compared to buying at Superdrug straight, as is £1.32 in Superdrug. So, if you buy one, that £5 off is now only £4.82 off.
Colgate 360 Sensitive Toothbrush T £4.00 S £2.67
Colgate Max White Toothpaste 100Ml T £2.67 S £1.50 But factor in lost of 15p for each one compared to going Avs S
Colgate Fluorigard Alcohol Free 400ml T £4.49 S £3.00. Superdrug, and Boots' offer, are barely 1p less than S. But factor in another 30p loss (per unit) compared to using on Avs S.
Tesco Pro-Tech Compact Head Twin Pack Soft Brush 66p N/A (but do need to check around very carefully to see if anything Mr T might cast its net farther to and compare to S at much more expensive)
Oral B Essential Floss Mint Waxed 50M T £2.00 S £1.33 (Lose 83p compared to buying own brand floss in M - or lose £1.50 if T PP doesn't compare on this Oral B vs S)
Easy Flossing Disposable Flossers 24/40 £1.00 N/A (not sure if bigger pack for same price may be available in M?)0 -
Evening all
Lousy weather here and I actually woke up in the night cold.
Read about the car bumps today and decided to stop in:eek:
Making a Pricess Peppa for dgds cake and I am proud to say she now has all thebits made but waiting for edible glue to arrive tomorrow so I can put her together.
I believe (help pd please) that I can put in freezer once finished. I will be driving to bedford on thursday and am a bit worried about her getting warm and losing shape a bit. Thought I could freeze her then thaw out in dd fridge.
Thanks for tip on buying pink candy for lollies it will arrive tomorrow with glue.
Just a cosy coupe to put together tomorrow which I am dreading as read it is not easy.
Soothed my slightly bored parrot todaý with noises from the rain forest. Made him very happy. N can vouch that he was a bit depressed as we managed a phone conversation without him interrupting once:T
Made carbonara for tea which I shared with my guests. Rodney loves a bit of pasta and roxy had leftovers.
Think I need to get out the house tomorrow:rotfl:

 VT. If you have vanilla extract that works as an excellent glue as it bonds fondant/sugarpaste and the alcohol evaporates quickly. Without sounding like a git, putting it in the freezer in the worst thing you can do. Moisture of any kind will make it sticky and sweat (that's what Dotty said), which will make it fall apart
The best way to store it is in a cardboard box (I some times use Tupperware lined with parchment paper to absorb moisture). With travelling in heat, I would leave it in the box and place it on when you get there, it should be fine
Can't wait to see pictures, sounds amazing so far :T'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

Vodka can also be used I believe if you have no extract. The alcohol evaporates off, so you wont have lots of drunk 5 year olds, and it does not taint the taste.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Know nothing about cakes so I'll shut up on that one.
I have built 2 cosy coupes in my time though.....one pink, one blue and don't remember major problems. Little tykes stuff in general is pretty straightforward.....or it used to be
Glad to hear your house guests are still happy. Rodney sounds delightful!0 -

Infact sod the cake. Drink the vodka, then eat the cake when you get the munchies, then pick up an adsa victoria sponge and some sparkley candles enroute“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
