Oh dear, I guess I'd better get the Ketchup that DS2 added to the shopping list.

He's just walked into the dining room, with his trouser legs rolled up above his knees and informed me hes 'not consuming those chips' and 'won't be until there's proper ketchup available'
I was more interested in why his trouser legs were rolled up.......the ketchup tasted so wrong, he didn't want to be sick on his trousers.

    I didn't answer....it's just easier :o

Absolutely not its a big pet hate of mine rude old people who expect to push in or for you to give up a seat.
If I wanna use public transport I practically have to remortgage the house. Oap's travel free. I would never see a frail little old lady stand neither would my kids but anyone else stuff them if they don't wanna stand wait for the next bus, which is exactly what I do with DD shopping buggy.

I thought frail elderly people were what you were referring to. I've never really encountered rude elderly people myself so I guess I don't really appreciate your point fully

I haven't used public transport for a few years now, but I do remember how frustrating and tedious it was - and very expensive

The only annoyance from older people, was on the way to work when the bus driver had to spend ages at each bus stop explaining why someone couldn't use their bus pass before 9am - I would have been in work a lot earlier if it wasn't for them
