I remember finishing a 16 hour night shift and trying to snooze on the way back on the tube and I felt someone hit me. When I opened my eyes a guy informed me I was being rude as he wanted the free paper that was next to me and he demanded I hand it to him. He annoyed me so much I took the paper and threw it down the carriage/car and told him 'to fetch it along with his manners' :rotfl: Didn't go down well.

Absolutely not its a big pet hate of mine rude old people who expect to push in or for you to give up a seat.
If I wanna use public transport I practically have to remortgage the house. Oap's travel free. I would never see a frail little old lady stand neither would my kids but anyone else stuff them if they don't wanna stand wait for the next bus, which is exactly what I do with DD shopping buggy.
DeeDee - I may be 'old' but I do have a lot of sympathy with your view point. Fortunately I am in much better nick physically (ie not frail at all -yet !)than a lot of much younger people and, if the bus is full then I am OK to stand and don't expect anyone to give up their seat for me. It does vex me a bit though when the bus is full with a lot of school/college youngsters who totally ignore heavily pregnant or physically frail people who are struggling to keep their balance in an overcrowded bus. Its nothing to do with who has paid and who gets a free bus pass - surely its just basic good manners to offer a seat in such circumstances ? My parents would have had a fit if I hadn't offered my seat when I was a child.
As it happens, the students down here are generally pretty good about offering seats to frail oldies etc - and its a shame that a few 'oldies' don't know how to respond to the offer politely !ELITE 5:2

Afternoon all! Can confirm the express glitch worked for me at about 3.30 this afternoon. Got one for a smidge over £4 and one for about £1.50. It was the coke that threw it out, I wasn't thinking straight when I picked it up, but DH prefers that to wine, and I did still get 1 bottle so all is not lost
Can anyone get the sun link to the coke coupon to open? It's just 'thinking about it' when I try, and we haven't had a copy of the paper.0 -
Oh dear, I guess I'd better get the Ketchup that DS2 added to the shopping list.
He's just walked into the dining room, with his trouser legs rolled up above his knees and informed me hes 'not consuming those chips' and 'won't be until there's proper ketchup available'
I was more interested in why his trouser legs were rolled up.......the ketchup tasted so wrong, he didn't want to be sick on his trousers.
I didn't answer....it's just easier
