abailey is right - no deal with sweet potatoes but if (like me) you like them and use them anyway then they make a useful filler as they compare well and give a few extra pennies on the apg:

Good evening
Evangline and Saver Sue What a nice posts You are certainly in the right place to receive support if and when you need it. There is always wise words from one particular poster Well done again FC:
I only post occasionally but am trying to post more as I enjoy reading about others peoples lives. Although I work for a large company my role does not bring me in contact with many people and my focus is often on my immediate family
My GD has mild aspergers and I can relate to the many stories on here. Her life and that of her family is surrounded in routine and my DD makes it seem "normal" but feel that many of an older generation with the symptoms were never diagnosed, just labeled. DH has a brother who is different and at 65 never had a diagnosis. So will have missed out on potential support
No 1p choc in my store eitherI do need to ask for some advice please if anyone can help. I may be sacked when I go in work today. I'll try to cut a long story short, the manager has left the care home I work in and the owner has taken over as manager and made lots of changes including my job title, and my role. Now he wants to change my hours. For 4 years my hours were 9-2 but recently my old manager said I could do 9:30 - 2:30 as I wanted to avoid the traffic in the morning. I never had a lunch break and always ate my lunch at my desk while working. Now the owner has said I'm no longer allowed to eat at my desk, I must work 10 - 4 with an hour unpaid lunch break. I don't want to do this as leaving at 4pm would mean driving in busy traffic, I'd have no time to do chores at home and would need to change the time we usually have tea
However I'm worried that if I don't agree to this he will sack me
I'm aware that he's not allowed to do this but I don't want to go down the route of unfair dismissal and tribunal as I went through this with OH last year. It was massively stressful and he didn't win. I just want to find another job ASAP.
My question is how many jobs are actually out there if I'm not fussy? I mean if I was to be left without a job I think I'd be able to find something within a couple of weeks if I was full time job hunting. I've done this before but OH points out that it was 5 years ago and it's not the same anymore. He says that many of the jobs advertised don't exist and that's why I'm getting no replies from them. I just don't know what to do. I want to stand up for myself over these hours because if I don't then where does it end. But then again I need a job or we cannot pay the mortgage. I actually only need to earn £700 a month so I'm happy to take a minimum wage job
I'm so confused now I don't know what to do when I go in work :huh:0 -

Could you ask for a compromise such as taking a 30 minute unpaid break to leave at 3:30 instead? Finding a job is bloody difficult at the moment'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
Sounds wonderful - please would you tell me if/how I could sign up to do the same?.....
.....pretty please
Good morning:)
I brought you luck:cool::rotfl::rotfl:
The company is called Market Force and what you do is register with them and you can then log onto there site and see what jobs are on in your area and they also email you with jobs available.If you do sign up also sign up you other half so you have 2 accounts;)They give you the info on what to do and what to buy as yesterday for example was buy 1drink,1 main meal .1 starter and 1 coffee or desert then you have to get an itemised bill as you have to send them a pic of it to prove you eat there and then fill out a report but I let mrsnerf always do the report:)0
