Packing box has come loose at side, buy some strong staples or just use a lot of tape

I agree with those people who have suggested getting some smaller boxes. It does not matter if they are not all the same size.
Are you using a removals company? If so, they are very used to dealing with lots of boxes of different sizes, so don't worry about it.
McDonald's boxes are good, but you need to make sure you go in there when they are not very busy, so avoid lunch time (12 noon to 3pm). Also, avoid going on a day when it is raining, as they put the boxes outside to be collected, and they will be all soggy if it's raining.0 -

OMG I can't believe why some people have to be so mean!!
The op has already explained why they asked the question and having a child on the autistic spectrum I can understand why something so trivial and unimportant to us is a worry for them.
If you can't contribute to an answer or be nice why read the thread at all? It does wind me up...... "
Maybe the fact that it was only mentioned in post #13 is relevant ?
That was still before you made comment!
It's a shame that some people couldn't think there 'might' be an underlying reason the question was being asked before the op felt the need to justify themselves.0 -

It was before my comment appeared, yes.
Are you seriously suggesting that every post you see on the internet should be first viewed and then considered from a 'now let me see what multitude of conditions this person is possibly suffering from before I reply' perspective ?
If I was loading my car with a heavy box and needed help I wouldnt just say 'can you lift this box?' I would say 'sorry I have a bad back, can you lift this box?'.There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0 -
OK look, I don't want to offend anyone that is not my intention.
My point was that people put in a lot of time on various forums trying to help people in various situations of need. So when I saw one asking how to fasten a box my instinct was 'why waste our time !', with hindesight maybe I was too hasty. There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0 -

No, I wasn't seriously suggesting that you examine every question you see but my point was if you feel it's a time wasting question, then why even read the thread to start with let alone comment?
I understand what you are saying regarding asking for help but from the ops point when they asked the question to start with it didn't seem like an odd question to ask.0
