Packing box has come loose at side, buy some strong staples or just use a lot of tape

What a gripping thread, can't wait to see how this all pans out.

Please stop with the joking, I am autistic so what seems like common sense to normal people I like to think about more and try and also due to coming from a poor family I try and get something to work that replace it, be it a box, or electronics rather than just destroy.
I can in theory use it for lighter things but the lighter things will still weigh a bit.0 -

Shops give away the boxes for free so just go and get some more. Ask your local supermarket if they have any, or use some of the other suggestions on this thread.0 -
As a matter of interest do you think removal firms care about mixed sized boxes, I just worry since they say they strap down boxes that having like 10 little boxes making up the size of this 1 big box would make it impossible to strap down.
I also have things like plastic containers with no lids full of dvds and such. also I have loads of old ripped boxes(that were inside the boxes I got from shop) that I can use to line edges should they be weak.0 -
Seriously, you had to ask this ?There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0

OMG I can't believe why some people have to be so mean!!
The op has already explained why they asked the question and having a child on the autistic spectrum I can understand why something so trivial and unimportant to us is a worry for them.
If you can't contribute to an answer or be nice why read the thread at all? It does wind me up......0 -
Hi Viberduo,
I think the removal men would much prefer smaller boxes if the items inside were valuable. Don't overthink it too much- you've been given some great ideas. I hope the move goes well

Also if you do have some bigger boxes that seem to be getting too heavy as you're packing them, leave them half full or whatever to one side and pack something light like your pillow or cushions in them just before you move.
Good luck

Maybe the fact that it was only mentioned in post #13 is relevant ?There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those that do and those that don't !0
