What to do now

Hi there every one....i posted a while ago about winning 40,000 in ppi after years of them saying i never had it..now then.i am trying to claim compensation for loosing my buisness because of this.as if bank payed my loan at the time all would have been ok ..when i was ill.bank addmit this.so im persuing compensation.i thought i was getting some were.till today .bank say letter in post and we do not admit fault.who is then..if they admit miss sell of ppi..but dont forget its straight forward .they just told me i had no inssurance ..solicitor says i have a very strong case in court .i just wanted to try and do it myself.but some one is to blaim.im like a dog with a bone.im tracing down insurance company as i went to doctors and they told me insurance company asked for my file in 2003..every thing they told me rings true about me trying to claim back then ..but always told i had no insurance .any info would be great ...cheers my friends;)

Sorry if I never explained properly .heres more info..I bought a hotel in 2000.with all the insurance covers I needed...I broke my arms and tried to make a claim on inssurance..was told I could not..my bank manager came to see me several months later .I told him he sold me a crok of crap insurance.he said if it was not to late I could claim off my loan insurance.well I herd nothing.anyway I had an operation months later .so made a fresh claim on my loan insurance .and was told no .....I had no insurance..I tried to follow this up but got no were..then I had a suspected ulser.and tried anothrr claim..no luck again ..all in all I tried 3 times to claim always being told no insurance.anyway I lost my hotel as I could not afford loan.as I could not see to the guest as I ran the hotel myself..I paid 57,000......pounds for hotel and they sold it in 2006 .for 97000 pounds...I found this out myself.anyway last year I spoke to a solicitor. I made a claim for miss sale of ppi and again yold I had no inssurance..then I tracked down my old manager who looked into it .and they paid me out 40.000..so im persuing compensation for loss of my buisness..I though I was getting some were till today bank now say they will not take responsability for compensation .as they have very little info.about my claims...they are at fault for evrything...and I should not have lost everything..I know from today my doctors say .claim forms eere sent to them in 2003..so were my files..I will chase these things up myself.but some one is to blame .as now proving I had insurance and been yold all yhem yeats I did not have it off the bank .and I alway did .there to blame and should put things right

You need to get all the evidence together, send copies of all you can get.
Tell them you do not agree with their findings and ask them to reconsider your case.
If they still say no, send everything you have to FOS, go this route before you pay a solicitor to go to court, the main thing here is information you have so gather as much as you can, send copies and also send to the insurer and ask why they would not pay up.

I have loan numbers ..ppi numbers...the fact they paid out.......i can get doctors notes of all my medical problems at the time..and the fact inssurance sent to doctors for them..the letters i sent to bank .proof of phone calls and problems i had with bank.i will wait till monday see what inssurance company find.. Why i tried to claim in 2003...what else would i need ..and how long would fos take..thank you

If the op has already had £40,000 in redress and interest what else is there to pay? I can't see fos upholding a complaint that the op lost his business due entirely to the bank's apparent failure to pay out on "phantom" insurance. I think a court would have to decide this.

Is the op saying he was paying for ppi and claims were unjustly refused because the bank claimed there was no such insurance? That seems incredible and it doesn't look as if the op (or the bank)has any evidence that attempted claims were made.

well as my next post says..i contacted inssurance company yesterday and awaiting reply on monday.as the doctor says in my notes.they requested my records.for a claim so i hopefully can prove i did try and claim.even 9 months ago they said i had no inssurance.till they re investigated and found i did ..i know this is all strange but it happened

also to this my star wittness is my personal manager who came to see me .he spoke to the bank last month.and told them i had inssurance.he was also the one who proved i had inssurance and claimed back my ppi..afet 13 years of saying i had none..so thats a big tick in my box.so he can prove all above

I'm pretty sure he hasn't any evidence of your rejected claims on the insurance. If he has, why haven't they already been presented to the Bank?

The insurance did not pay out because the OP was told he did not have PPI this is his argument and why he won mis sell.

He will not get compensation for the loss of the business as you say, I doubt PPI for a few months would hardly had made a difference.

A goodwill gesture though on behalf of the bank would not come amiss for the messing about and the time scale regarding the OP having PPI and the bank disputing, in my opinion.

I have just today recived letter from bank and it goes..............i am sorry we could not agree with you a suitable settlement of the outstanding.[no offer has been made]it says they sold my hotel in 2004...no they did not it was 2005/6.the recoverys department told me this last year.they also say we acknowleged that i did have cover and payed me moneys for miss sale.also because passage of time they have no records of my loan...what do they think i sent them..my loan papers copies of..detailing everything ..and these papers are the ones they sent me detailing everything..this all sounds to strange to me they dont know what there doing.some one some were, does not know what there doing.letter also says your thinking of starting legal action against us.we hope you do not.but they appreciate its my choice
