Hi Coinmachine,
I see you have had an answer on the other thread. I've never been threatened with one, do you know why NW have taken this route?
Puzz. x
Talking to Stepchange they suggested its beacuse of the length of time, 9 years and all lenders are different etc. If i can attend, I will, providing it doesnt cost too much to get to wherever it will take place.I'm a greenfield sight for sore eyes, and sore eyes are just needing the light, the shapes, and the shadows of the space we share, before it splits into Thin Air.0 -
Hi all, Just want to also give my best to you Sazzie, you are one of the Gems on here. Take care and thinking of you.

Hey Sazzie, would just like to add my condolences to the rest. There will be a lot to do over the next couple of weeks, lots to organise. Please take care of yourself.
Thanks to everyone sending kind thoughts, trying to take it like the debt busting - one day at a time, although the feeling of wanting to crawl under the duvet and never come out is also very similar to the start of my DMP.
Lovely to see so much action on the thread, glad you are all being there for each other.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Hi, can I ask what is it that's 9 years? It is the time your plan will take to pay off? Mine is 25 years so I'll be interested what NW say to me.

It's the length of time repaying the debt. I also owe Nationwide and my repayment plan is 5 yr 4 mths so will also wait and see what happens.0 -

I'm only guessing, but maybe NW have a formulae where if the amount owed is X and the length of time is Y and x divided by Y = z and the property value/equity is ABC and its an SSS type of debt then they take a charging order, which might explain why not everyone gets one.
I'm not familiar with the process of obtaining a charging order but I would want to be there if I could, with my budget printed out and if possible explain to the judge/lead of proceedings how I was managing my debts. It might make the difference between getting charged costs or not etc etc. And I'd feel like at least I tried. (going to put that on my headstone:o).Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.
