Can prowla be sure the seller read prowlas message?

"I've sent a further (ie. 3rd) message to the seller to try and arrange collection."

Quite possibly not. So ... what is the problem exactly?
The seller doesn't read messages? The seller doesn't respond to messages? How is that Prowla's fault?

And in response to your asking my ebay ID, why would I post that on a public forum? Why did you? Perhaps you might like to edit your post. I didn't post a direct link to you, for obvious reasons.

Which part of "By submitting your bid, you'll be contractually committing to buy this item from the seller if you are the winning bidder." do you not understand?

Terms can be changed after the event only by mutual agreement, but there is no obligation for a seller to enter into a conversation with you (regardless of what you believe would be polite) if he has no wish to change the terms of the sale.

He has not agreed to change the terms, and obviously isn't going to, so it's time for you to uphold your side of the contractual agreement as it stands and pay.

^^ That is why I said "HE"

Anyway, I've asked the seller a question, and if the sellers here think that the correct way to respond to a query is to simply ignore it, then perhaps that says more about their attitude.

I've determined that unless I get a reply, then I don't have confidence in the seller and won't do business with them.

If you are a seller who has posted on this thread, then maybe make a mental note that all that's needed is to respond courteously to your customers' messages and you'll likely have a smooth transaction.

You're still missing that BIG point that goes before all that, aren't you?

How is that relevant? The contract was formed when prowla bid and won the item. The seller doesn't HAVE to read messages or reply to anything at this stage.

You can't force someone to enter contract renegotiations after you have shook hands.

Seller is well within rights to expect payment as per the listing, and has now validly filed a claim for non-payment.

I assume nothing....you on the other hand apparently do?
So you wait for a reply? Yes?
    What is Prowla doing?

and Prowla is well within his rights to expect a simple response to a simple question.

Enjoying themselves and thinking of you and your support when doing so I'd guess? I'm sure your happy to be thought of in that context?

I will be careful not to use gender specific language where gender has not previously been specified in future!

I guess it's a habit I never realised I had, to always assume 'he' until shown otherwise. Probably a weird thing to do as I'm a 'she'.

Perhaps it's time for me to be heading to bed... :rotfl:
