Cashback Claim - Reached e2save - but Royal mail says 'NO'

I sent one cashback claim to e2save 15 days ago by recorded delivery..
I received confirmation text back from e2save saying they have received this claim..but when I track using the tracking number on royalmail.com it says item not found.. I called them (royal mail) up but they cannot find the tracking number in their system.
How can this happen?

I know Im missing the point here.. but if they have received it, and it is being processed, does it really matter???0

Don't think I've ever come across a signature at e2save... They must get so many claims each day that Royal must just dump them all in a sack. The postman would be there for hours getting signatures for each one.SLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24
Valued Opinions: £75 (paid) + £52.30 (received) + £4.50 (pending) = £131.80
StudentPanel: £250 -
It's disgusting. Royal Mail consistently do this. And YES, it DOES matter - EVERYONE who has this happen should make a formal complaint to Royal Mail and get their money back. I would have thought it was pretty obvious WHY!!! But I'll spell it out because plainly it isn't to some!! So here goes:-
1) Royal Mail will do sod all about it unless it costs them - and if enough complain ang get a refund, it would.
2) You are paying Royal Mail for a service they are NOT providing.
3) (This is the really obvious one) If it continues, one day YOU will find E2Save (or whoever) claim NOT to have received your claim and you can then kiss buy to ALL your cashback.
I hope that explains WHY it matters! Da!!0 -

This what HAS happened... I received first TEXT confirmation by e2save where they say 'They have received my cashback claim and it will be processed.. No need to contact them'...
Second TEXT confirmation says ... 'Good news.. Cashback claim is approved and cheque will be sent..no need to contact cashback dept' ...
Now I called them just to confirm everything is going fine... their Customer Service(?) officer says...they have not received anything..
Obviously, the next question was 'did you send by Recorded Delivery..if yes, then whats the tracking number'..
They checked with this Tracking Number on Royal Mail website... which shows....'ITEM NOT FOUND' ... *****
The Worst part is ..I lost the Recorded Delivery Slip..which has that tracking number (I have saved the tracking number though)..that I could have presented at Post Office to get the refund...
Now I still have 4 days to send the copy of bills to e2save for starting all over again...but whats all this nonsense...:mad:0 -
If you have the text that should be enough; I would sue them using that as proof. They wouldn't have sent two texts if they didn't receive it. Never delete the texts until you get the cheque!0

ps. I assume you called the cashback line itself? They are usually quite helpful and effiicient and you could send the texts to them to show they MUST have received the claim. The cashback line is 0845 655 1246, although I suspect they may have been re-organising recently.0

On more thing. Since you're with E2Save and are at the claim stage, it means you aren't under their new so-called Price Match t&c. That is both good and bad in this instance. The good is that you ARE still able to make later claims (assuming this wasn't your last). The bad news is, should you be forced to sue you won't be able to claim ALL the other unpaid cashbacks as well at the same time. I would extremely surprised if they aren't co-operative if you send them the two texts confirming receipt and processing. They can't argue with those.0

Finally, I managed to find that Recorded Delivery slip..
How much amount can I claim from Royal Mail?? My claim was worth £45...so can I claim that amount??
When I tried tracking on Royal Mail website then it says 'ITEM NOT FOUND'
How much can I claim from Royal Mail??0 -
Why would you want to make a claim for £45 off RM?
They have delivered your letter - so complain to them that they didn't get you the promised signature and ask for your money back for the recorded service.
They will reimburse you (with a book of stamps)0 -
Was it a pricematch deal or a normal (photocopy accepted) deal? I'd like to hear people's experience of the pricematch deals 1st claimummm...0
