Out Of Contract With TalkTalk Is Sky Cheaper?

I'm on TalkTalk standard broadband package with anytime calls with caller id, which is due for renewal. This year, with the hike from upfront line rental from £114 last year to £141 this year, my package was working out at an average of £25.25 a month (£141 upfront + £13.50 monthly). After calling TalkTalk they gave me £2 Credit for 12 months and 12 Months Half Price Call Plan, so now averaging £19/month (£141 upfront + £7.25 monthly), for exactly the same package.
This is without quoting any comparative rates, so it's always worth calling them up directly.
Incidently the comparison rates I got were for the same package (without calling any of these companies directly to check if they could improve on these);
1) BT £25.99/month (£160/12months line rental in advance, +£10/mon + £18 months 7 to 18)
2) Sky £20.82 (£25.40 monthly +£20 one-off - £75 Marks and Spencer eVoucher, No traffic management policy - but I still needed to check their 0845/0870 policy)
3) PlusNet £20.47 (£132 upfront + £9.50 monthly - Need to check traffic shaping policy, which probably won't suit my kids.)
4) Virgin - gave up; the "big kahuna" deals didn't seem nearly as cheap by the time I'd factored in anytime calls, 0845/0870, caller id etc.
I stayed with TalkTalk, best price and didn't want to take the broadband switchover hassle. They're not renowned for their customer services, but I've always managed to speak to someone when I've needed to.0
