Be glad when xmas is over, still need to buy pressies and food. Had shopping vouchers from sainsbobs so doing to do online shop tomorrow.

Heating gone off at home today so cold to say the least. Got insurance with British Gas so hopefully it's all covered find out tomorrow. Saving on bills anyway.

Stayed in today so didn't spend any money. Yesterday needed essentials rabbit food, sawdust and hay and some food. Had a decent haircut at last feel human again now. Next year going to go more regularly.

No debt to progress to report x

  • I hope you got the heating sorted.

I'm also glad you feel more human, looking after yourself is just as important as debt busting! :)

    Take care x

Thanks southern guy. New pump fitted for my heating and had £42 back from Quidco for taking the British Gas insurance only had it 6 weeks at £10 a month I am winning so far.

Today lovely having a day off, a lie in, nice dog walk in daylight and made a tea party for my grandson and my youngest daughter this afternoon. Simple things and not too much spending. Well food shop done.

Well paid 17.88 off one credit card today.

Got Mot and service tomorrow, trying to pay for it out of my funds rather than hit the credit card, so borrowed my emergency fund until payday.

Work xmas meal tonight so free meal and drinks. Going to drive, not the best idea to go out on the lash with my bosses lol

Sky persuaded me I need them haha. Well good deal I think, new HD box, given me 25 cash into my account for a new remote control, when there was one included with the box anyway - result for me. Even tho they quoted me 16.50 for the family pack a month, it appears set me up on the essential pack for just under 6 pounds a month. Suits me so much better. I now have catch up tv and can watch sky box sets.

Off to do a bit of work and get ready in my party outfit. 20 pounds lace dress Peacocks which I will wear again.

    Have a great weekend folks

Car passed and together with essential service came in as budgeted 85.00

Done a balance transfer of one credit card, will pay the balance transfer fee on Thursday so not adding to my debt. It needed to be done by 1.1.15 and looking unlikely as need to pay another card off - thanks to Fleetwood Mac tickets and a London trip but it will be lovely treat next year.

Haven't finished pressie shop yet, but not much more to get.

Balance stands at 6052.82 as at15.12.14

    Slowly but surely getting there.

Had my M & S. Gift voucher for swapping bank acts, few days now and think I may try and keep it for Next year, maybe a tin of biccies spend.

Off 2 weeks going to increase exercise whilst off 2 long dog walks today. Wee bit shopping lidl and few stocking fillers.

Daughter called around today wanting to do something tonight but as we have paid cc for Fleetwood Mac trip, decided we need to stay in instead.

Going to paint my bathroom after Xmas, and clear garage -keep busy and away from shops plan.

Need a drink to warm up face stinging after wind when dog walking.

Quick update total debt now £5949.00 so reached my under 6k by end year target.

Christmas eve one quality street toffee and broke tooth. Emergency treatment £20 but now need another crown at £300. Already booked in for one end January total nightmare -£600 how will I find that. Not the start I want for New Year. Will see if temp. Fillings last.

Nice xmas, few mixed emotions xmas day, seeing friend seriously ill and first xmas without my sister and my sister in law. Youngest daughter dragged me to our local and we had a few too many drinks. Think I just needed to let my hair down was fun.

Broke until 8th Jan now x

  • Awww sorry to hear about your tooth Calling. Are you on the NHS? I believe even if you need two crowns, that if they are done together as one treatment it should only cost £300.00. Worth checking with your dentist.

    Happy New Year!
