London Baby!!!

Glasgow is the only place I have visited in this country and abroad where I felt scared. Me and OH were there for a week and we both could not wait to come home and we never normally feel like that when on holiday. We got to the airports hours early for our flight and when we were told it might be cancelled because of the weather I burst into tears. Luckily it wasn't cancelled.
Having lived in London most of my life and now (no longer living there) still visiting about once a month on average I can honestly say I have never felt scared or unsafe there.
I absolutely love London and miss living there. I would move back tomorrow if we could afford to and our circumstances were different
Different strokes, after all I find London: dirty, unwelcoming, a bit dull and it's awful trying to get the smell out of your clothes and the dirt off your skin. And the water
Whereas Glasgow is a welcoming fun city :j0 -

Possibly depends on your age. There seemed to be lots of places to drink in Glasgow but as I don't drink and OH drinks very little we didn't find much else of interest. We certainly didn't find a decent restaurant in the week we were there.
London has a lot going on and has some fantastic restaurants, particularly veggie ones and indian ones or, best of all veggie indian ones.
Maybe because I lived there for 40 years of my life I don't find it unwelcoming. I suppose it's dirty although I don't notice it but what city isn't? It's far from dull with all the restaurants, cafes, museums, parks, art galleries etc. I could never get bored with London. Never drink tap water (yuk) so wouldn't know if it better in GlasgowThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

Obviously not so 'welcoming' or 'fun' for those who've been glassed there! I'll stick to London...0 -
Please don't refer to London as "south".
London is not the South. I live as far south of it as Birmingham is to the North.0 -

Ummm, yes it kind of is. South-East actually.
What would YOU say it is then? The Midlands? Or as you are so much further south, do you class it as the north. PMSL, all the Londoners will love you :S(•_•)
