Fabian has his second birthday already!! He's got the craziest hair! Anyway, we had his party at mine.. so my house is... NOT TRASHED!!!!!!!!!

My kitchen was swept before people came and
OH and I paired up 4 huge laundry baskets of socks!!!! seriously! it was an epic task.
I vacuumed right through.. though DD3 and her friend tidied the front room.. it is almost presentable now! DD4 and 5 did the middle room.
DS1 smashed a pyrex plate so the kitchen was swept again and vacuumed.
OH loaded the DW while people had desserts and
I reloaded it afterwards and packed away food and sent it home with DS1..

I then.. put a new mop head on the mop and cleaned the kickboards.. my mop is just the right size and I quickly whizzed the mop over the kitchen.. it's not perfect but it is 90% better.. my floor is slippery again :p

OH feeding moggies and I'm finishing what 'might' be the last square for the teacher blanket.. I'm going to sew them together and see if I need to make another 12 ..

Happy Quarter Century to your DS, JTTOU.
Many Happy Returns to Fabian - lovely photo, Pigpen.

Back from our foray into the East Midlands. Had a very successful work session on Friday with my friend in Tamworth, followed by our charity meeting, but then DH and I had a horrendous drive which took us 3 hours for less than 30 miles because of traffic overload on the A5 and then a major accident and diversion on the motorway. Mrs-mp, the cuppa was a lifesaver! You are an :A for that, and for getting me the brilliant car booty items. It was great to meet you all :)
(You're not the only one who has mini Flymeets, Valli ;) )

Yesterday we visited DS2 and family, and I finally got cuddles with DGS3 :j - he's grown so much since we last saw them in March, and he's beginning to talk - he does a very good monkey impersonation too :rotfl:
DS2 :A sorted out the email on my new phone, and we took them all out to lunch to celebrate his birthday which was on Thursday. He and DDiL demolished a "sharing" dessert between them, though DGS3 enjoyed quite a bit of it as well, and DH and I each swiped a profiterole :D

Now I have more paperwork to do as a follow-up to Friday's meetings. It is a beautiful morning here, so we're hoping that the weather holds for the church picnic, then I shall have to spend the afternoon at my PC. My poor garden is in need of a bit of TLC, but I shall have to let it grow uninterrupted for a few more days. We're going to Gardener's World Live on Thursday afternoon :j so I shall probably have a few more things to plant out afterwards in the spaces that will be vacated by the weeds :p
The baby woodpeckers have been to visit this morning and the nyjer seed needs refilling for the goldfinches :j

Time to start writing Minutes and a newsletter! We flew a bit before we went away, so the housework can wait until at least Monday and the new thread. If I keep my sunglasses on, I won't notice the dust

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round. Hope the sun shines for everyone today x

Morning everyone. I've had a very quick read through so....Nicki, hope your finger is better, LW, have a great holiday, JTTOU, happy anniversary for tomorrow.

Bossy - I was at same place as your two yesterday, think I would have spotted their outfits though! June challenge is going well, even though DH keeps trying to sabotage it by buying my favourite snacks. This is because he failed his June challenge on day 1. The snacks are in the cupboard.

Righty, I have hoovered my sofas properly this morning and put new throws on. Looks great, but I feel I've been doing a workout for the last hour so not going to go in the gym now. Time to have a bath, walk the dogs and then I'm off to the seaside for the day.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

2 girls off out with KH today.. back for dinner though as he has no kitchen apparently.. obviously a couple of bags of chips is far too expensive!!

I have 2 loads of laundry to throw through and the bathroom and loo are being scrubbed to death today and if that OH of mine does not get the blinds put up today I may not be held responsible for my actions.. 3 years I've had them!!!! 3!!!! today IS the day.. or she have favours.. all of them withheld until they are.. yes I use food and coffee as an incentive!! :p

I may prepare the front room for tomorrows toy sorting session.. the tiddlers are going to my sisters for a few hours after nursery and I WILL get through them all!! must sort them a bag of spare pants/beakers/juice..

I MUST get that M&S underwear order sent too.. Squeak has no knickers, OH is desperate for socks and the 2 older pinks need hooter holders..

Ooh.. I have a tiny balance to pay off something too.. will do that while I remember... tomorrow.... :/ .. *writes self a note!*

    HHC at 10am??

I need to feed Lumpy before I can crack on..
