And, sorry about the theft, but as you say far worse happens to others that you know. Pleased that you are unhurt, that is the main thing. Do you think that someone had watched DS leave?

Oh And that's awful, so sorry to hear that but really admire your attitude in putting it into perspective. So glad you didn't lose anything of sentimental value at least.
I thought the thread had been quite quiet lately, I assume most are hopefully making the most of the lovely weather
Got some IN and UU, still playing catchup this month but the gap is narrowing at least!!
IN:
Elemis PCMC x 3 small tubes off eBay - I look better for this cream than any other skincare I've tried 💜
Lee Stafford Dark dry shampoo - straight replacement of a UU, great for covering grey prior to a dye job
UU:
Bomb Cosmetics Milk & Honey Brûlee - packaging said this could be used for up to four baths. I did try only using half but found this messy so as the bath is large and deep anyway I threw the whole thing in in the end. Smelt nice and softened the water but nothing outstanding - WNBA
Creightons Vanilla & Macadamia Shower Cocoon - smelt good enough to eat and fab value - WBA
Nip + Fab Sugared Almond Body Butter - one of my uber bargains in Tesco Jan sales, nice subtle scent and sank in really well - WBA
Baylis & Harding Jojoba & Almond Oil Handwash - Lovely fragrance and great value - WBA

Thanks, it's possible that they did watch DS leave, but DS is of the opinion that they saw the goodies through the blinds and took a chance on the door. The front of the house isn't overlooked.
The neighbours will be a lot more wary now as well, which is good.

Hi ladies, hope you're all having a lovely weekend enjoying the sun. I've had a relaxing couple of days with DH, sunbathing, gardening, drinking champagne and eating cake! Gorgeous afternoon tea yesterday, such a treat.
I have UUs:
20/138. Champneys Citrus Blush Shower Gel 200ml - WDBA, loved the scent, but plenty of shower gels in the stash for now.
21/139. FCUK Signature Body Spray 200ml - love the fragrance but WNBA as I prefer to wear scented lotions and perfume. Would happily use again though.
22/140. Yves Rocher Nutri-Repair Conditioner 150ml - WNBA, did the job but didn't wow me.
And a NBI:
14/146. Liz Earle C&P 50ml - they keep sending me emails for freebies so would have been rude not to! Looking forward to trying this.

And, so sorry to hear about the burglary - we had a break in a few years ago, caused a fair amount of damage and took some jewellery and laptop - all replaceable, but the hassle factor was high and knowing someone had been in our home, rummaging through our possessions, was pretty devastating. Took me a long time to feel comfortable in my own home again.
I think your attitude is fab, like you say the tragedy your friends are going through really puts things into perspective, but nevertheless I think you're being brave.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
Oh And I'm so sorry to hear about the break in. How awful. I am very glad that they didn't take anything of value or trash your house. The way you are managing it is admirable. So sorry to hear about your friend's son, very sad.
I noticed the thread has been quiet too. I am guessing/hoping people are all enjoying the weather or their partners
Not much going on here toiletries wise. It has been a very slow month!0 -
Sorry to hear about your burglery, probably best that you didn't hear them or you may have got hurt:(
Phew, been a very busy weekend here and literally feel like I've just sat down. Four day week coming up through:T Thanks for the comments on the debt vs toiletries savings. You are right girls, I'll pay it off and get rid of the debt quicker...just need time to pop to the bank now. So I think when I UU something, I'll just pay £1 off the card straight away, saves on trips to the bank and once its gone I'll save my £1s up.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Oh And! Thank goodness you didn't hear them and thank goodness they didn't go upstairs. I agree with the others that you are being remarkably cool, calm and collected about it. It sounds like you were well prepared in a techie security way. It's a shame about your handbag though
What a relief that you weren't hurt and that they didn't take anything that was completely irreplaceable. Also, it was probably lucky that your DS had left the house otherwise he may have tried to tackle the intruder
(I'm not sure if you save money when you have a UU but if you do maybe you could save up for a new Kipling bag?)
How awful for your friends to lose two children. That's unbearably sad.
I was all ready to declare some UUs and reply to other people but I think I'll leave it at that for tonight.
Love,
Wil xx0 -
Awful to hear about your burglary
I have given away my body shop almond body butter. It's no use I'm allergic to everything bodyshop apart from the hemp hand cream and it's silly to keep it just cos I like the smell
I have used up 1x Nivea primer, already bought another
Don't know if anyone else is obsessed with this. It's more of a moisturiser than a primer but it's so light it's great under makeup and I can also put on sunscreen without feeling oily which is nice. It's also mega cheap you can regularly get it on offer for about £3.
Also in Vaseline spray and go the cocoa one. These are amazing for if you need to moisturise in a rush. I love body lotions in spray form soap and glory girligo is my other one and I've gone through so many bottles of it. This is nice though if I'm not wearing soap and glory and want something less scented, it is scented but it's just a lovely light cocoa smell.
They are great of not getting you over moisturised which I need as I wear sunscreen every day - the joys of being a red head and having no ability to tan
It was under £4 which I think is a good price for a moisturiser like that.
also finally finished my tre semme hair mask, will not buy again it's taken me about 5 yrs to use up0 -
And - very sorry to hear about your burglary and your poor friends, how very sad.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
