Watch_Dogs - what's the verdict?

Not trying to be argumentative but the PC version is ...
that's fine mate, no argument intended here either. i just believe they could have given us PC gamers better treatment. there's also apparently a problem with optimisation for using dual graphics such as nvidia SLI or amd crossfire, where the game is ignoring 1 of the cards and just uses the power of 1. it's !!!!ed off a lot of people.
true about the consoles, i'm in the same boat. had some rosey tinted eyes over the weekend about gta5 on PS4 but i will probably still end up getting the pc version.
despite the console hardware front, i can't ignore the PS4 because i have always been in love with naughty dog games and gran turismo. im not too interested on much else but whenever uncharted 4 comes at a good price in a bundle i will most certainly do my best to get one.
yes, it isn't as well made and doesn't perform as well as the PC but it has some of the best game franchises and i just can't ignore them. the last of us for me compares to when i was 13 and watched the matrix for the first time at the cinema - it took my breath away. it's definitely relevant in terms of it's games more than it's hardware.0 -

Exactly its all about the games, I wasn't aware of crossfire/SLI problems with this one, with that the last dual graphics setup I had as 2x ATI x1950s.
I do find it rather easy to ignore console exclusives, but that is down to not having much time to play games these days and there being more than enough on my PC to play.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

and i'm not going to debate with another person on the internet about their ill informed opinions or believed facts on why pc gaming is the only option to go for.
it seems 1 person says something about pc gaming and everyone follows on a hype train. i can safely tell you now with confidence that this is all incorrect and i know a lot about hardware - i've done close to 5 months of endless research and i KNOW that the hype train of PC gaming being the only good option to go for is just elitist banter. it's far from the truth.
I never understood the fanboy comments, surely as long as you enjoy your gaming does it really matter what device you play it on? All I ask for is a decent story and great gameplay.
I was going to go down the PC gaming route but decided that rather than chasing specs every couple of years a far better investment for me would be to get a decent projector. I can get a 12ft screen in the living room and around 20ft projected onto the garage wall which has made gaming so much immersive.0 -

Did you get the chance to try the Oculus Rift? Watching that 4D movie on the 50ft screen in the virtual cinema made my jaw drop! Not to mention the rollercoaster... :eek:Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?
A: It goes without saying that this site's about MoneySaving.
Q: Why are some Board Guides sometimes unpleasant?

Not yet, but it looks very promising and could be very tempting when the bulb goes on the pj.0 -
I have been tempted by the oculus dev kits, but I have decided to wait for the final spec/retail unit.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Order for £200. Use it for a week. Spend a week charging people £5 an hour to use it (just once should be enough for "profit"). Sell it on eBay for £240 (minus fees, about £200 net).
Oculus Rift dev kits are a very MSE try-before-you-buy.
And wow, did this get off-topic.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?

Mine was ~£230 delivered last year, but the GBP is stronger now.
I didn't hire mine out and I still broke even after fees (within a few pence).
Edit: I tell a lie, I just brought up my receipt and it was US$356.10 delivered - about £220 at the time, or £210 today.Q: What kind of discussions aren't allowed?

I'm really enjoying Watch_Dogs - took me awhile to properly get into it, but all in all, I'm hooked.
I'll agree the driving and graphics aren't brilliant, but games are ultimately there to be enjoyed, and I'm really enjoying mine on the 360.October 2014 challenge: £111.44/310
November 2014 challenge: £106.62/300
Missing December out - see you all in January0
