    I'm really disappointed with it.

It may be that I haven't played enough or I'm not grasping the controls quick enough but some of the missions don't make sense (with where you've got to go).

Something for Saturday night I think.

It is a little slow at the start to be fair but once you start progressing it starts to live up to the hype :j

My partner likes it, also if you have a tablet or mobile device then you can download an app to use with the game even if you don't own the game or even a console!

My partner was playing on Xbox one and I was on my iPad, there is a game where for example I was in control of a helicopter with police and the ability to hack his game, traffic lights, bollards etc and I had to try and stop him from completing a point to point. I could also do that to anyone on my friends list (if they accept the request to play that is) It also helps you level up your character and earn skill points.

I didnt think it would be a game I would want to play from the sounds of it but after seeing my partner play, I will deffo be playing it too, the graphics looked pretty fab on the xbox one and our big flatscreen and the storyline looks like one I would be interested in...so far!

I am 50/50 at the moment but to be fair I am slowly making my way through the game. It feels like its trying to be a cross between Assassins creed and GTA 5. It's deffo not a game to have on while the kids in the room! Lots of effing and jeffing for little ears!

i didn't get it. i wanted to, badly, but for me the internet confirmed my worries.

in 2013 the E3 trailer was said to have sections of gameplay footage. the game that came out was nothing like that trailer.

i've also seen some youtube videos of the game on PS4 showing some trees in a short distance, like 2 streets away through an alleyway or promenade and they look like blocky triangles for leaves and branches. that's the sort of lazy development and graphics i would expect from a game before 2006, before the PS3 even came out.

some people blame the PS4 for having lower specs than expected and go with the whole if it can't run 1080p and 60 fps games it's already dead. that's rubbish, the console is x10 minimum more powerful than the PS3 and i don't see anyone complaining at last of us, GTA 5 or uncharted 3.

lazy development is the problem. there's no excuse. they also deliberately gimped the PC version and it was a modder than even found hidden graphic settings labelled "E3 trailer". turning them all on makes the game look like it should have, on ALL consoles.

if rockstar can make GTA 5 look and play as good as it does on the PS3 and the xbox 360, then there's a problem with development at ubisoft. it's got nothing to do with MS or sony.

it all just confirmed my worries. glad some people like the game a lot and i don't deny it probably is fun and has a good storyline but the technical disappointments it brings makes me want to just avoid it.

Just face the PS4 isn't up to it, it look rather nice on PC (if your PC is good enough of course)

nope. watch dogs was developed abysmally and in a rush and that's why it's on a technical standpoint disappointing.

and i'm not going to debate with another person on the internet about their ill informed opinions or believed facts on why pc gaming is the only option to go for.

it seems 1 person says something about pc gaming and everyone follows on a hype train. i can safely tell you now with confidence that this is all incorrect and i know a lot about hardware - i've done close to 5 months of endless research and i KNOW that the hype train of PC gaming being the only good option to go for is just elitist banter. it's far from the truth.

Consoles today would be far more appealing if they weren't just gimped PCs in one-size-fits-all boxes. I miss the days of the SNES, Dreamcast, PS1&2, Wii et al where they developed fantastic console games for consoles and fantastic PC games for PCs. Now we have the Xbone and PS4 battling it out for the "dullest PC-lite console" crown - a sad ending to Sony and MS's consoles, as they'll probably be the last consoles they make.

If Nintendo make a new console, I'd certainly be interested. The Wii is nearly ten years old already - where's our replacement?!

You may be right about Xbox one being the last console Microsoft make, but there is no way the Japanese companies will stop here. They well and truley lost this console war to Sony.

Sony will release another super console every 6 years or so. Why would they not? I do not understand your argument.

As for Nintendo of course they will also, what do you mean where is our replacement? The Wii U is excellent but for some reason just was not as popular as the original.

I expect Ninty will have many more handhelds and surprises in the console front for a log time yet.

Getting back on point, I am looking forward to playing Watch Dogs. As soon a I see it on Ebay cheap enough, I will keep bidding upto my limit and sooner or later I will pick up a copy cheap enough.

Yes, in sales the PS4 is the Wii of this generation (so far). Although didn't I read something about the Xbone being the second-fastest-selling console ever? There seemed to be three "winners" last generation (just about - ah go on, be nice to Sony! ;)). As long as the division is profitable, everyone's a winner, right?

I made a statement, not an argument, so I have a feeling that explaining further might be pointless anyway. ;) However, consoles are there for a very specific need - a box of hardware that provides you with what you need to play games. And as we know, having consoles is a bad thing. It introduces extra "console tax", and the tax today is higher than ever - a power point for each console, HDMI for each console, controllers and controller accessories for each console, a separate account with separate account balances for each console, with content locked to accounts and multiple accounts for multiple regions across multiple consoles where necessary. As you can clearly see, it's a lot of trouble just to continue playing AAA games.

But in a few years we'll have equivalent hardware in our pockets anyway, and the diminishing returns on the hardware evolution mean that a PS5 simply won't offer anything worthwhile over devices we will already own at that point. Probably.
As for Nintendo of course they will also, what do you mean where is our replacement? The Wii U is excellent but for some reason just was not as popular as the original.
    "Wii U"...? Doesn't ring a bell. :A

Not trying to be argumentative but the PC version is very close to the initial reveal, yes some effects have been pared back etc but nothing like what has happened to get them running on the consoles (which is where the main complaint is).

Personally I have nothing against the consoles but as a PC gamer they will need some amazing exclusives to tempt me because they don’t impress me on raw power alone.

I will say there does appear to be a couple of bugs with the PC version so I am waiting for patches and a steam sale before I jump in on this one.
