I didn't think for one minute that he would be chipped, Peachyprice.
I think you've got yourself another cat.

I saw this story on This Morning earlier this week and everyone was saying 'Aw, what a lovely story' but I thought exactly the opposite.
https://uk.tv.yahoo.com/morning-cat-went-missing-9-years-111700102.html
Synopsis is that a guy had a cat who 'disappeared'.
Turns out that a woman took him in (10 miles away, not sure how he got there) and she kept him for 9 years.
He eventually disappeared from her house, was taken to an animal sanctuary and was found to have a micro-chip with his previous owners details on.
The original guy allowed her to keep him.
I thought the same as you. I would have been furious if the daft old bat had kept my cat and not checked it for a chip.0
