  • I have done some research and this company is also based in Hong Kong. Personally I am reluctant to buy anything from any company outside UK. First of all manufacturers do not accept any warranty if you have bought a product outside UK or EU. Secondly too many fake products they sell. So I may pay more to a local company for peace of mind.

Ever wonder why this company is so cheap?
The answer is simple and that`s because there based in Hong Kong , they have a make shift dispatch centre in the uk who have NO control over refunds , replacements , faults ,repairs NOTHING ! I received a faulty phone from expedite and when i was asked to return it for refund (make sure it goes wrong within just 2 weeks otherwise they want to repair it ) Even though they have had the phone back with them for over a week now i`m still waiting for my refund ? Iv`e had excuse after excuse after excuse of why it`s taking so long and it`s pathetic.
Because i paid through paypal ( whatever you do pay through paypal ) i`ve now had to start a claim with them because i`m getting nowhere with expedite and certainly WON`T be using them EVER again .
This company has the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life and am warning anyone to even think of using them .
If your phone is ok when purchased from them then ok but anything to do with any problems with the phone , warranty`s or refunds then FORGET IT ! This company really needs to get their act together because there a joke ! It`s not really the uk dispatch centre that`s at fault it`s the main centre in hong kong or where ever it is that are limiting the uk to be able to rectify anything regarding refunds, replacements, repairs and so on .Hope this review has explained just who expedite electronics really are and what can go wrong when buying from them !
  • I would just like to post my own experience of expedite electronics as a counter balance to the previous post. I brought a samsung galaxy s5 last year and it went wrong after about 4 months with a known issue with the camera. I contacted expedite, explained the problem and provided them with proof of the fault, they sent me a return label by email and I dispatched the faulty phone and received a brand new replacement after approximately 10 days. They also refunded the special delivery charges back to me. The company is based in Hong Kong but has a UK dispatch location that you can return things to if they go wrong, all of their goods are international versions not UK versions so if you have a problem then you have to return it to them for fix or replacement as it will not be covered by a UK warranty. Expedite provide their own 365 day warranty to mitigate against the warranty issue. So as long as you understand that you are dealing with a Hong Kong based company selling international versions of popular products at discount prices and you are happy with that scenario, then I would say they are a genuine company with good customer service. I would also add that if you have a problem it is easier to deal with them via email to eliminate any communication issues. They also explained to me that my faulty phone had to be examined by their repair centre in Hong Kong before repair or replacement could be authorised and that returns from the UK only happened once a week so this could be the reason that the previous poster was still waiting.

I recieved the phone fairly quickly but it was defect and had green pixels on the screen. I flagged this up and was then asked to send photos, which I did immediately. I was then told a collegue would send me a returns form. I eventually recieved this online and immediately carried out all the necessary tasks - printed and signed the form, repackaged the phone, sent it via tracked special delivery, scanned both the form and the tracking receipt and emailed it to expedite. I got a short message saying they would get back to me and then heard nothing despite regular emails and phone calls to the UK office. I knew my package arrived on the Monday and that their stock checking day was Tuesday. I repeatedly emailed each day following this asking for an update and heard nothing.

I eventually asked for a refund as I would like a phone ASAP and would rather go elsewhere. We will see whether the head office finally get back to me and oblige... On reading the above comment I am concerned they will try to avoid this.
  • Hi, guys I have just ordered a Macbook pro form from their site. I will give an update if product arrives. To be honest I'm still sceptical :-|

Why use these guys over reputable retailers for example John Lewis or Apple themselves.

I purchased an LG Nexus 5. 8 months in, it stopped charging wirelessly and wired charging became a bit temperamental. I contacted Expedite Electronics over the issue and at first they seemed really good. They messaged me back quickly and told me how to send the phone in for a warranty repair. Their website said it could take up to 28 days. I thought this was a very long time but I figured that it's their upper limit so could be returned sooner.

I sent them full details of the problem highlighting that the main issue is wireless charging does not work and wired charging is flakey.

Once they had my phone, they would take days to respond and sometimes weeks. I would occasionally get an update but when they still had the phone after 4 weeks I requested an update.

They said they had just received the phone from repairs and testing revealed that it was charging normally via wired charging. They said they did not have a wireless charger to test that though.

I then replied instantly to say that the main issue was the wireless charging and that I would need it tested. They then sent it back to the repairs which took another 4 weeks before they confirmed that there was a wireless charging issue and it had been fixed and tested.

I was without my phone for over 8 and a half weeks. From what I could gather, they had "forgotten" to fix the main issue so it took a full 8 weeks to sort out. All the while they were not responding to my messages to find out what was going on and towards the end they would finally reply after 7 days and even then they did not answer all of my questions.

Once having received my phone, I noticed that there are scratch marks from where tools have been used to take the back cover off. Although the phone is now working ok, the repair seems to have been a really shoddy job.

While their prices may seem tempting I would never purchase from them again and would whole heartedly discourage anyone else from using them. The warranty they give is worthless with such a long turn around and poor customer service.

I do not blame them for the initial fault as this was just a manufacturing defect which happens with all phones. However, how they handled the RMA was the worst I've ever experienced.

I shall only buy from Amazon, Google or other very reputable companies that seem to care about after sales customer service.
