Interesting point about whose problem it is. Normally, it is with the retailer. However, the phone was working until Samsung updated the software. In its pre-update state, it was working.
Did you have any control over whether or not to update the software? Could you have set the phone not to automatically update?
If so, then the reseller can legitimately claim that it was your decision to change the state of the phone from that which was sold to you and that your beef is now with the supplier of your software, exactly the same if you had installed a 3rd party app that screwed your handset.0 -
If you have damaged the phone Samsung won't even look at the problem .
Most problems can be fixed by a hard reset or a software flash. Carphone warehouse do it for 15quid0
