I froze lemons after having a load left over from a L!dl deal, they're handy when you need juice for cooking - express thaw in a bowl of warm water. no use for zesting though.
If I have a bag of lemons/ limes that I'm not likely to use up - rare these days with military-style menu planning - I juice them and freeze the juice in ice cube trays.
I've hard the same can be done with left over wine for cooking, but I never have left over wine!Debt 2008 - Approx £20k | April 2014 £6526 | 30 October 2015 DEBT FREE

In other news, I have just been through every single page of this thread again - I didn't update my signature to 15 NSDs after yesterday so got confused and thought I'd worked it all out wrong and that in fact I couldn't achieve 20 now as I'd run out of days in June - fixed it, do have enough days - and I'm reminded at just how mental you all areDebt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £8,200/£10,000

Mind you, those of us who do not work weekdays 9-5 look on Friday as any other day, but there is still a special feeling about weekends.

Hi folks.Well, the last few days have been pretty busy, but I will definitely do an update tonight.
Wednesday turned into a spend day, despite me repeatedly saying 'bread and water, bread and water',yesterday was spendy, but the good news is that I think I'm going to get the last days of the month as my 4-in-a-row!
Last night was pretty nail-biting,watching Nadal (yes, tennis is more important than anything else, including updates!).So glad he's through...
What the consensus for the July thread....something easy please.I thought that ice-cream should keep most of you happy, but what's this about Roman togas?????Oops,Igor has just pricked up his ears...:eek::eek:
I'll go and see if Russell Crowe is free.:)0
