jttou ... I would LOVE a holiday over there.. fond memories of many weekends spent at Fleetwood staying with my great aunt <3 .. such a long long time ago.. *sigh*

Ooh Fleetwood! The beach of choice for my mum to take us three to! (Cheaper than Southport and Blackpool, with their expensive rides;)

    I'm in

Thanks for the lists Natty and disty.

Towels on line, it looks sunny here so I have stripped my bed (I'm currently down to one set of bedlinen as I don't want to put flannelette sheets on!); they're in WM as I type. DW emptied.

Glad its kitchen; mine's a pit!

And I have sparkly white, clean, correctly-adhered to bath-and-tiles sealant. Dad came down and removed gunky sealant which had come unstuck and it's been replaced with mould-resistant sealant (which had better work, given the cost) was much more expensive than the others but I live in hope (well I don't, Hope's over there *points in the direction of Chatsworth*)!

DD's bed now stripped and in the WM, DS's bedding is all on the line. Need to strip my bed too so that'll be next. Just walked the dog - quite nice out so I think I'll spend another hour in the house and then start on the front garden.

I have fed and dressed kiddies. Emptied and reset dishwasher. Loaded slow cooker with potatoes and beef. Cleared all worktops (including worktop 3 and all its mountain of appliances!) and wiped small appliances. DH has the kids outside, except dd3 who is now throwing the biggest tantrum I have ever seen!
Just having a cup of tea (and waiting for dd3 to fall asleep) and will carry on with the list.

Valli- Hope your washing dried, was just going to put mine out (I have a huge amount to do) but it's spitting with rain now, hoping it blows over (although that might blow it your way if your on the opposite side of chatsworth to us).

Right dd has finally stopped screaming so can finally let go of her kicking legs and get something done x

Juliejim - if the zip up cover is anything like the ones on my sofas, it is like doing a massive workout putting them back on. Never again for me!

At some point last year or the year before I convinced myself the smaller sofa's cream covers had a zip. Today, I can't find it. I have wrestled the cushion covers and the loose cover off and the first load is twirlying, but it took over half an hour and I'm now exhausted. I had no idea Mrs Dog was depositing that kind of gunk on the outside arm when she went sofa running - which I now think is a sign of a previously neglected dog collecting strokes for itself. Honey Bear used to do it too, but I don't remember her making such a mess of the soft furnishings. Hot and sunny here. Excellent weather for washing heavy stuff.

    Kitchen taking a battering too.
    Better is good enough.

    Thanks Natty! :D

I have some big jobs I want to get done this week, one of which is sorting out DD's room again. She's a "shove it in the drawer & forget about it" person and I'm getting fed up of it! This week she asked if I could order her some of the skincare stuff she uses from the @von when she has at least 2 bottles of the stuff in her room but she can't find them. We also need to go through her clothes again as she's had another growth spurt! Tomorrow she wants to bake bread to get some more practice in before they do it in cookery for the next few weeks ;) Its one of the few things she can bake well anyway, but it'll clear the bags of flour out of my cupboard and mean she's got rolls for her packed lunches ;)

DD has just done her non-uniform clothes ironing which she volunteered to do it! :D She said she'll do her uniform later when the laundry is done ;)

    Personal:
    Labels in uniform
    Belt loops on trousers
Sewing repairs (School bag, quilt cover, my small bag)
    DD shoes
    Laundry
    Shredding
Work (paperwork) Tue - delivery, Thur - order in
Clean bins out - Next week when the recycling bin is emptied as well, but only if all the builders from over the road haven't parked in front of my house again. :rotfl:
Print calender for rest of the year
Sort DD's clothes / drawers / box pile
    Bake (rolls, cake, twinks)
Understairs cupboard /dig out DIY supplies
Sort out shopping list for DIY shop so I can start the decorating!

Bank Holiday Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining mess
    15 minutes...

Clear and wipe sticky work surfaces
Wipe and replace small appliances, get rid of all those crumbs underneath the toaster
    De-web and fluff the room
    30 minutes to spare...
Wipe dining table and replace cloth if needed
Wipe the front of the units, kickboards and the large appliances
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Got an hour...
Empty cutlery drawer.. wash cutlery tray and replace everything neatly.. Clean out the fridge
Do the 15 and 30 minute jobs too...

    Extras
    • Wash the windows
    • Wipe down paintwork/sideboards/units in dining room
    • Clean filters and detergent dispensers
    • Spend at least 15 minutes doing something for yourself...

Right, I'm off for a speed bath, going to strip the beds, and get the laundry done while the weather is nice :D Hoping I can have a really productive week so I can get stuck in with decorating jobs next week ;)

It's still out! It's still fine here (clouds may be stuck on a High Peak;))

2 pairs of footwear wiped free of mud; one pair popped in car (ankle boots) because they need heeling and soling; one pair can go upstairs.

Bike picked up by scrappies *fling*

    Afternoon al

A catching up and chilling day here. WM1 done, kitchen floor hoovered and mopped.

Time for a cuppa and then a HHC in the kitchen, hoping the weather will brighten up a bit.

I'll be in as best I can manage again this week.:o

Piggers I hope your poor DD1 can get some help and relief - although I've never had children, I can so sympathise with the upchucking; I'm a complete wimp when I just get a day of it courtesy of lupus (as happened to me yesterday, hence my lack of posts) but to have it ongoing like that must be horrendous.

We've done one important task today - sorted out our gas/leccy tarriff, as the deal we were on finishes in a few days' time. New 2-year fixed deal starting 1st June.:o
