Butlins - is it safe to keep laptops in rooms?

why not take a lockable suitcase and stick them in there when you are out of the apartment. Any thieves would probably just think it was your empty case anyway and are unlikely to try and take the whole thing. I think you can hire safes at some of the Butlins resorts too.0

Don't rely on butlins providing you with a safe when i've been before i haven't been able to fit a laptop in the safe in the room so i had to leave it out of sight.0

Hiya, I have a mini ipad I use all the time. On it now.
I chose it because it is portable and small. Fits in my bag with ease.
It is risky to leave in a holiday apartment. Even though I take pegs to make sure the curtains close in the middle.
Now for a true story. One year at Butlins we forgot to hand the key in.
When we went the next time, I was so tempted to knock on the door and ask with holidaymakers permission to try and open their closed door with said key.
I did not but did hand the key in. To many people have spare keys to be safe with your stuff. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
How many hands have your keys gone through before? Every single one of those could have made a copy. Likewise cleaners master keys, maintenance master keys, etc. Parks don't necessarily do full background checks on all staff, certainly not on all customers, so it's fair to assume the rooms are not absolutely secure.
Parks also have huge numbers of guests compared with most hotels, more guests means more pickings to steal for an opportunist. Those guests are pulled from all strata in society, just by sheer volume, some will be thieves. I know when I worked on a park years ago, we certainly had guests who would steal anything they could, we caught some.
Tempt fate? Probably not worth it. I wouldn't.0 -
Stick an out of office autoreply on your emails, leave the computer at home and relax. You can survive without your laptop - how did you survive going on holiday as a kid? Play games outdoors, take a pack of cards, talk to your family.
You'll worry less if you don't have to hide it and constantly worry about it.
If someone sees you hiding it in the car they'll just target the car."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

Check out things like this there are cheaper alternatives just the first one that came up on google, then you can secure it to something solid and hide it"talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish" - Euripides0
