Too Black!

My wife just hates the black screen of the TV in our light and airy living room when its not on. And now that 50" is quite affordable the size of this black area just gets bigger.
So when will led or oled screens be a nice light grey or even have a sensor to merge in with the decor (rather like a chameleon - there you go Sony/Panasonic/LG/Samsung - try that as a feature for next year! And here's a way to do it - a camera on the back displaying the wall behind, then a frameless screen and job done!).
So people how do I get over this hurdle - I would like a nice big 50"+ tv now - suggestions.
Maybe a projector but that causes other problems for me.
Cheers

Thought of that - but no
I did think of a video of a fish tank and turning it into an aquarium! No upkeep, easy to look after and so on but no!
Keep trying people - cheers

Then just take a photo of the wallpaper and display that on the screen when not in use, pretty much any TV will allow photoslides.
Or just install something such as:

Don't switch it off then, and remember not to draw your curtains so the neighbours can see your huge chavvy TV.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

In the spirit of money-saving, tell her to put up with it, as it uses very little energy in Standby!
Hang a sheet in front of it.0 -
