Jeeeez that was painful. Just had a 1.5 hour OR phone interview.

    Very prickly and cold interview.

Sent all my bank statements and info as requested, the day after I received the OR letter about what to send. She'd not got it.

It seemed clear she'd not read my BR paperwork in advance (or if she had, she'd done a 2 minute quick flip through prior to phoning me).

She flipped around questions in no particular order...e.g. 2-3 questions on assets, then questions about the drop in my income, then back to assets, then info on my loan secured to my mortgage (she seemed very interested to see what precisely I had spent my loan on which dates back some 7 years) and jump back onto another issue we'd already covered.

It felt very disorganised but I kept calm and patient (as I am in any case).

It took almost 1.5 hours, which I wouldn't have minded expecting being self employed to lead to more in depth questioning, yet the time spent was more to do with her going silent for ages as she wrote down everything I said in response to each of her questions.

I thought I was being helpful by elaborating slightly on an answer and was rebuked with a "It's me who asks the questions" put down from her.

    Anyway it's done now, thankfully.

IPA seems unlikely which is good but there are a couple of things she'll look into and gave herself the option to come back to me at any time of her choosing which I guess is par for the course.

That's it, I'm now officially bankrupt.... I never thought I'd be saying that but hey ho I'm healthy and I'm living :) Looking forward to stress free future. I just want to get the OR interview over and done with, not looking forward to it at all.

Well, I'm done!! After an emotionally exhausting morning where my DH was refused a fee remission because of my gross income, despite the fact that he has zero income and I was petitioning too, I put my petition in and two hours later I had my case number, am officially BR and two hours after that had my OR interview with the loveliest person. It only lasted about 10 minutes.
Unfortunately my DH has now become liable for everything that was in iur joint names as we have no way of raising his court fees until at least the end of the month. I have one very depressed DH. :(
All of my views are my own :o

Well done fluffy, but I'm so sorry to hear about your DH, have you had a look here to see if he can get any help with fees? Which debt free charity has advised you?

Please may I join? I went BR this week. Not sure quite how I am feeling about it all yet though!
I lurked on here quite a lot whilst I was completing my forms - thanks to all those who have posted with advice and tips!
