so today I have been super productive.
I have reclaimed my student funding, housing benefit and c/tax exemption, tax credts and child benefit as a single mum.
I have cancelled the standing order to hubbys bank account for his car ins and sundries.
can anyone think of any other agencies I need to contact to say im now single??

go on entitled to to check there is nothing else that you can claim
are there any bills in joint names that you need to get changed over to your name only?
i dont know how old the babies are but have you informed school/nursery/ childcare of the split and any new restrictions on him picking the kids up or them need to send out letters to him as well etc
also any creditors for joint accounts and putting a freeze on any active joint accounts until you can get your name off of them
anything like a joint life insurance policy
well done for the great startThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

im not entitled to any other benefits as im a student but ive been told that I now qualify for full housing benefit and as hubby is gone im now completely exempt from council tax ( as student).
I think social services are phoning nursery on Tuesday to confirm that he cant collect etc and I know they already contacted the school.:happyhear Single Mummy to 7 beautiful kids, :coffee:Snowballing through life, just one day at a time!

sounds like you are pretty much done then - i'd just check with the school and nursery to confirm that they have changed the records and update who can collect them (just in case anyone like a family member needs to or a childminder)
other than the practical bits how are you and the kids doing? The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
the kids are actually ok, ive noticed they are much calmer, my eldest boy was a bit tearful which isn't at all like him but otherwise they are fine. Im ok too, just super tired, ive been packing his stuff because he wanted to collect it tonight. TBH im completely numb about the whole thing.:happyhear Single Mummy to 7 beautiful kids, :coffee:Snowballing through life, just one day at a time!

Hi Foggy; just wanted to add my little voice of support for you too. It is a super, super-brave thing you have done; standing up for yourself and your children. I know it won't be easy - and there must be reasons why your other thread was deleted, I hope you weren't trolled badly or anything like that. Please keep us updated.
There are lots of us really rooting for you. Stay strong. xx0 -

You should be able to claim income support as a lone parent if your youngest is under 5, over the summer. Or even now if you're on a low income.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I've sorted all of my entitlements out, sadly as I'm now paying for full time childcare and wrap around care for my schoolies I will only have about £30 per month for debt payments. I am considering a debt relief order, I know some my see this as an easy cop out, I just feel if I can draw a line under the past with hubby I can just look forward to life as me and the kids, with nothing else hanging over us.:happyhear Single Mummy to 7 beautiful kids, :coffee:Snowballing through life, just one day at a time!
