    Hi there.

No-one ever finds any Wednesday night glitches when I ask and no-one ever replies to any of my posts:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

In the meantime, I have a conundrum arising (lol:rotfl:) from product packaging information. Does anyone else generally see the conflict that I have detected here?

It's about best before and use-by dates. Best before is about quality, use by about safety. Therefore products are fine to consume after best before dates, as they are merely an indication of the manufacturer's opinion as to how long their product will remain at its optimum quality.

I have a package with a best before date. However, it also says "Once opened, use by [the] date shown".

Does anyone see a conflict there?

Or is this just me taking things too literally again? ---In which case, why don't people write or say what they mean, instead of writing something else that does not mean what they meant? People think they know what they mean to say but why do they then say something else which, instead of saying what they meant, does not say what they think it does but says something else they did not mean or, instead of meaning what they meant, carries a completely different meaning to whatever they meant and says something completely different from what they intended themselves to mean?

    Evening all

FC sorry to hear about your hacking problem. My card was cloned a few weeks ago and bank picked it up from first purchase they made. I really hope your OH recovers from this violation. I put some money on netbet account yesterday and today I getcall asking me to send photocopies of both sides of my card! Just placing a couple of world cup bets making the most of the cashback. The cashback had tracked before I even put my deposit in.

Dee Dee nice spot on the reed fragrance things. Needed here due to the pet invasion so place an order for the 3 showing on T delivery tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed I can then stock up a bit. Strangley I noticed them in A today and nearly bought one so know the price in store.

These were RTC in my store today, even though branded Ts the 8 cup fitted a Bodum frame, yet to find out if the 3 cup one does as Mr TS has it at work. He has a habit of breaking them when shaking out the coffee grounds. ;)

    Hi Nenen,
I've only recently started doing this. I have only used it for stuff I would buy anyway so not really considered glitches etc.
I usually look at the offers, make a list of what I'd buy with the amount back and which app, then I look at mysupermarket to see where to get them.
I am fortunate in that all the biggies are within 10 mins of me so it's not a hassle. I then double check that the cheapest is the one with the offer and do my shopping.
The only one I've done recently that was above and beyond as it were was a treat run as there were some great deals on snack stuff and they were all cheap in Ms. So I got crisps, biscuits etc for a couple of quid after savings, total spend about 10. My dh was happy with that as I normally only buy junk if I have money left. 😊
Clicksnap -the quidco one, is the one I find easiest and best paying. It is easy to use and you can do online or receipts. Shoptize seems to be the next best, imo.

As for clicksnap problems, they are super slow at replying to emails. I sent an enquiry on 28th May and only just received a reply which is fairly useless as the offer has expired! But they are good for tracking, payment and range of offers I think.

As for amount, with CS I've been doing it for 2 months and received 27 and just waiting on confirmation of one receipt. Bearing in mind it's all on stuff I would buy usually, I think I've done well. 😀
    Hth.
Thanks very much for your comprehensive and very helpful reply littlebluebird.
Two further questions... (sorry :o ) As I already use quidco for cashback so have an account with them can I sign up to CoS with this and would any CoS money go into my quidco account?
    Thanks again. :A:A

I'm confused by the best before conflict, which I guess is the point you are making.

As for the lack of a Wednesday glitch, I believe there is one, on whistlefish. Greetings cards are on offer at 10 for £6 but I just bought 58 (optimum, trust me on this) for £21.15, postage free and including a free jute bag (the jute bag actually brings the total cost down). You need to use a code for first order 15% off. I'm just going to read back a page or two here to thank the OP.

I replied to your post because you were so polite in making your point!

Thought I'd share my c&c shop from yday at T's.

Was trying to use Nerfys shop with the dishwasher tabs, I had to buy lemon as original weren't online to buy. Thought I would get an £8 pp against sainsbobs, but look at the Morries comparison:eek:

    Competitor shop total £6.90 £23.75 £22.24
    The difference £0.00 £8.90 £15.25
the same cost less cost less

Looks like they have a bit of a wrong price on the Dishwasher tabs. Sadly, assuming this works for just one and isn't an mbuy requirement in the system, it doesn't leave much of the £10 PP cap to play with. Assuming this compares 1 at £12 vs £3.99 - and also this is yesterday and may well have changed today - it only leaves us £1.99. Glad you offset the difference a little by buying the cheaper number of milk cheaper.

Now.. with £1.99, I could get 1 pack of Double Toilet Rolls £1.95 vs £1.00, Beansprouts 60p vs 49p and Eday Onions pack 63p vs 50p, leaving about 13p short of the cap. Everything else (6 items) would then have to be about same price in T and M. Perhaps there is a better configuration - need to go and have a look at my list.

Just to let you know (another drip-feed:D), I couldn't find the Savers Tomato & Onion Pasta Sauce that I had at 10p last week - it's been going on and off the shelf of one of my two stores though and N/A in the other - and T PP had at 5p. It appears to have gone now - it appears no longer to be Tomato... Pasta Sauce but to have been replaced by Savers Cheese Pasta Sauce - a subtle difference indeed:D - and... watch out!... the new Cheese Pasta Sauce is 34p:eek:. Might now lose on T PP if it has linked up to the new version - then again, might be N/A, might be 5p or might be back at 19p:rotfl::rotfl: - could be anything, who can tell?!?:(:rotfl:
