Just noticed on .com that when you go into the clearance section, 2 discounts get applied to some of the health & fitness items (the 50% off + a money off amount too)
eg Tanita Body Fat Monitor UM-051
http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1077668&classificationid=1047992&slmRefer=000
is originally priced @ £34.99 and is in the 50% off section so should be £17.49 but when you put it in your basket, a further £10 comes off and it shows as £7.49.0 -
Thanks, might just drag my 41+ week pregnant bump into town tomorrow for more bits. Might help kick start things!
take everything back with the receipt to get refunded at full price then buy again with 20% off.
the 20% reduction on baby is on until 28th august(check the offer tickets-down at the bottom there is usually a date range indicating how long the offer is on)
also the toy sale further reductions dont start until 3rd september with further reductions to clear everything by 16th september to make way for the new range0 -

That's the trouble with Boots - no equality of prices. If you look back through the recent threads the prices for the same things vary massively from store to store.... what's in the sale in one store for 20p is normal price of £3.50 at others (I'm thinking specifically of the mobile lippy here :mad::mad::mad:)0 -
Having looked at the forum earlier, popped into Boots on the way home. As everyone said, the red stickered sale products were half price so I picked up three things I wanted, all No7, plus some other full price goods I needed, and went to the till. As the bargain No7 stuff went through the till, it rang up one free item - the current buy 3 for 2 on no 7 applied to these goods as well.
But that's not all! When I looked at the receipt, this is what had happened. First of all, they rang in the products at full price and the cheapest went through at £0.00. Then they took off the money for the reductions, ie, subtracted the amount needed to make it £2.50 per product. However, they also did it for the product which had gone through at £0.00!
I hope you're following as it took me a bit of brainpower. To make it simple, say the original prices for the products were £10.00 and they were stickered at £5.00 and then there was 50% off that making them £2.50 each. The till rang through the first two at £10.00 and the third at £0.00, ie £20.00. Then it took off £7.50 reduce them to £2.50 each, - even the third which hadn't been charged for at all! So for the hypothetical set of goods there is a £2.50 profit!
Didn't realise that bit until I looked at the receipts when I got home. Thinking of popping in again tomorrow......
