Suggest to them you can return it via Royal Mail, My hermes or Collect + at their expense? You just have to drop it off locally wherever is convenient to you.
i do not wish to drop it off as i want to have no responsibilty for it if it gets lost, and its a bit of an inconvenience for me anyway.0 -
nope, when it was delivered it came in the box along with my items.
the items i ordered where sealed in a cling film in appearence pouch attached to the box.
this was just loose out of the clingfilm.
i (stupidly) did not check the contents and got my girlfreind to put the items in my rucksack and throw out the packaging...
so i wont be seeing that again
they said it has to be collected by me?
Get some free cardboard boxes next time you shop and use that as packaging?
I'm now guessing you only shop once every six months and your not due to do so until September?0 -

You will be given a receipt as proof of return/posting absolving you. Why is it inconvenient for you to sort it? What are you really wanting from the sender?0 -
The insurance on delivery - this is a red herring. If they are arranging delivery then your duty of care ends upon handing it over to their agent (delivery/collection driver). If they dont want to adequately insure it then thats up to them as they are liable if it goes missing/gets damaged.
Remember to take pictures before and after packaging it up so you can show it wasnt damaged at the time you handed it over. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

also regarding your next point, either them to collect it or just say keep it, i understand that but i have had enough to do with this already i don't want any more responsibility.
because i have a 45minute lunch brake mon-fri, my post office is 30mins away.
i dont clock off till 5 and my post office shuts then. unfortunatly my life is 9 types of hectic right now and everything is just getting in the way of the next.0 -

this is interesting, i thought it would have lied with me until they received it?
i have taken plenty of photos as the box was open anyway so no harm there...0 -

If you were sending it yourself (ie you had contracted the courier), yes. But if they are the ones who contracted with the couriers then your liability ends once they have taken possession of it.You keep using that word.
