How to password protect specific documents

Just wondered whether I could protect a folder rather than each document that is within that folder.
Be careful. Documents protected in MSWord can be opened using Notepad.

Ah....no. You need admin rights to use TrueCrypt. I think SS mentioned it above.
You could ask work to allow it, or install it for you to use.
True that TrueCrypt requires administrative privilages but I found the solution to overcome this and it works great:
