Again Wickes has come up trumps on this, the last one I heard of they gave the motorist vouchers for the inconvenience. So well done :)

No vouchers but they have been very quick and friendly about the situation so I've got no worries with using their stores again. Seems as if they do actually care about their customers.

As they should do - take note Aldi!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I would never shop with Aldi out of principal. They are building one just down the road from me currently and the way they are treating the locals is horrendous. No respect at all!

Just had an email back from the store manager. Fine has been cancelled

Thanks for all your help guys! Its much appreciated and its nice to know there are people out there willing to help others against these parking pirates
Well done! I have added your thread here under the other ECP cases cancelled by complaints to landowners/retailers:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4766249

Post #2 - where I have added your link under ECP - shows that Wickes usually send vouchers but only if you complain to Head Office. And normally they use a PPC called VCS rather than ECP but they are all the same scumbags, no different.

I don't care about the vouchers to be honest (although won't deny a gift!) There were several stores on this park so it may be that Wickes don't employ ECP. Im just happy that they have stepped in. its made sod all difference to them but a big difference to me!

It does make a difference, they have made a customer happy, that customer (you) are likely to come back and spend money there. They take on board complaints and deal with them. It's just a shame that they engage these companies to begin with.
