Cancelling Mobile Insurance
Hi,
I've had my phone and insurance for 2 years now. Currently paying Citymain £6.99 a month.
I don't want the insurance anymore, is it just as simple as going onto my online banking and cancelling the direct debit?
My only concern is we are just going through purchasing a house and I wouldn't want them to try and take the money but be refused, would that cause a problem or am I just worrying too much!
Thanks

Is the insurance on a one-month contract, or did you sign up for a year and you are paying the premium monthly in arrears? You need to check the terms and conditions, and phone the insurers as well. It would be a big mistake to just cancel the direct debit without making sure that you don't owe the money.0

I think cancel it in writing is the best option. Citymain is usually a rolling monthly thing and not contractual but I can't be sure. Maybe there are different policies.
