Can you really refer a complaint about a price difference in two quotes to the FOS?0
-
Hi,
I have just found out that the validity period is one day, or 24Hrs
Any case they issue a reference number with the quote.
Funny enough my quote had the same reference number an hour
latter, but the quote went up £30. It just shows you, that there
on the fiddle. sorry to go on about this, but my case is strong

If you think that is it theft, report the matter to the police.0 -
If you went into a clothes shop and you saw a suit marked up £120, and you went away to think and came back in an hour.
and the suit had gone up by £30, you don't think that's a rip off.
No.ou seem silly mate, financial advisor or not. don't be a complete fool. If it is advertised at that price you should get it at that price.
It was advertised at the price you paid. The fact it was a different price at a different time is just retail.Prices do not fluctuate within an hour.
Logic dictates that any price change will have a period where they could change in an hour (or less).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Well even the FCA (which it is now) need a laugh every now and thenEspecially as the quote is from a broker!
FCA deal with broad brush regulation, FOS deal with individual consumer complaints and are charged with ensuring that financial institutions treat their customers fairly
A quick look at the FOS site http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/ will tell you all you need to know
PS: I think they also deal with brokers! & other sales channels that insurers choose to use0 -

PS: Really ?! You've told them to take it to the FOS based on 'I think'?
Can you or can't you take a broker quote complaint to the FOS with any chance of being taken seriously?0 -

I don't think that's a rip off. The seller is free to decide what they want to sell the item for and you can choose to accept or not accept. But if you accept it feeling like you've paid too much, then you're a fool."Always fulfil your needs, only fulfil your wants when your needs are no longer a concern" - citricsquid0 -
