OP do you consider yourself separated from your husband now? If you do, you should be able to claim tax credits as well as the child benefit. Is your OH saying he will continue to pay you £100 per week, and what would that be for - voluntary maintenance to maintain your child, or for you?0

She has a seperate thread about her single claimTrying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

So Katonia, from the other thread I've established that your child with your husband is 5, that you have a 21year old still living with you.
Now - is the house you live in mortgaged or rented? In whose name? Yours, his or joint? Is the rent/mortgage in arrears? Credit cards? His name or yours?
You haven't answered about child benefit - do you receive this in your name? Or does it go into his bank account? In whose name are the utilitity bills? (let's hope they are all in his name - therefore his debt).
Now then, the 21 year old - working or claiming benefit? In either case, s/he needs to be contributing towards his/her keep at least.
Have you got a passport? Has the child got one? Do you have a bank account?
Once you've answered these questions, it will help us to help you start thinking clearly about what your options are.0 -
So how do you receive child benefit - do you have a book and draw it directly from the post office - or does it go into a bank account?
Council tax - does your 21 year old live with you? You've not answered that question yet.
I know that you are hurting about his actions, but now you need to let that go for the moment - you have to start looking out for yourself and your 5 year old. Unless your 21 year old is a vulnerable adult with health problems, s/he is not your worry at the moment - harsh but true - the welfare of yourself and your 5 year old are paramount importance. Phone Shelter and Womens Aid - get their input, they will be able to help you.0 -
You say you have no home phone, are worried about costs of calls - but you do have internet access. Contact womens aid by internet - as you have done with us - let them know the situation and give them your tel no - they should be able to contact you by phone.0
