You didn't mention that you'd had a child together as well. You're not going to be able to make a clean break.

But you'll be entitled to AT LEAST half of everything he has.

It's a bit difficult to get a clear picture from your original post, but as I understand it, you are now 40 - correct? Your two children are now adults - correct - but you have a small child - his child?

How old is this little one? You should be in receipt of child benefit. If the child is under 5, you may be able to claim income support even if you are denied jsa.

The older (adult) children - do they still live at home? If so, they should be contributing to a family income.

Sort his stuff out, sell it, sell as much of the stuff in the house as you can - keep records so that you can justify selling it. As others have advised, contact Womens Aid, and start planning the future for you and your child.

If he is working on a Oil Rig in Singapore they have Wifi and ship to shore telephones.Even if he is repairing Rigs in the shipyard there, plus if he is staying in a hotel at night there is wifi there.Sim cards with wifi are cheap as well.
If he has met someone out there she will only want him for cash and as soon as he comes back to Uk she will be with someone else.
So just get out of the relationship with him but make him pay as if you dont get it the woman he is going with will.
