    Hi m-u-m
Glad you've come to a decision, this will settle your mind and your son's for now. It is unfortunate that you have to wait so long for the outcome of the appeal, but we'll keep everything crossed for you.

Just for info Larne Grammar took down to 92 this year, their highest ever, and Carrickfergus Grammar took a 78 their lowest ever. My friends child was told that she would have got in no problem with 83 but they didn't even put it down as an option as has been higher in previous years.

This just goes to show, yet again, that everyone should always put the schools they would like, in order of choice, on the transfer form without any regard whatsoever to the lowest scores accepted in previous years because there have been surprises every year. If you're not in, you can't win!

Has anyone heard the cut off for Belfast High and Ballyclare High this year? Just heard of a girl today who scored 95 and didn't get into Ballyclare High.
