It would seem there are 120 parents/pupils in the same position!!! Keep us posted - will keep everything crossed that you get sorted. What schools have the EA advised that have places available to you?0

When we were doing the rounds of the schools a few of the headmasters mentioned in their talks that if your child's older sibling was now classed as an adult, 18 or over, or was no longer in education, 16 or over, that they were now classed as the eldest child in the family.
We were told that as well i do think it is fair i know others may think not .~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. Just a quick reminder for anyone who is unaware that form needs to be signed by head of new school and returned to EA by 30th June. We were first time applicants and only realised today.0

Hi we were at school who gave us a pink form today. We filled it in then realised it needed signed by head so took it back later. They then send off to regional office. You can get a bus pass if walking distance over 3 miles but need to apply. There are rules if you don't apply for a school if one within 3 miles, which you could walk to . If you don't get into this school and are offered a place over 3 miles you get a free bus pass.
I phoned the regional office today and the man I spoke to was lovely.0 -
Calling Veggie Northern Ireland and/or Mrs Mum
I have just checked all the documentation received from Belfast Royal Academy on 23 May and there is no form for a bus pass. Did either of you get one? Or did anyone else with a child going to BRA get one?
We are not due to go into the school for the Form I Welcome event until 24th June. That seems a bit late if completed forms have to be with the Education Authority by 30 June.
Perhaps I should ring the Education Authority and ask for a form?
We do live more than 3 miles from the school and are not going past any other grammar to get there so should qualify.0 -
I downloaded the transport form from the education authority website and printed it off.0
