Hi Veggie Northern Ireland and Co Down Mum,
I can't believe how quickly this has come around.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that my Daughter has scored enough for Methody.

Hi everyone, I had it in my head that it was the last Saturday in May when we get the letters, don't know why! I really hope all our kids are happy with the school they get. Can't believe we are finally coming to an end with the whole process.

I just checked the NEELB web site and it says letters will arrive on Saturday 23rd May.

To me this is the scariest part of the process.

When the results came in, no matter what they were, how pleased/disappointed our children were, we had options, choices to make. Now, based on those choices, decisions have been made for our children. There is a certain finality to it all.

I am hoping for a happy face next Saturday. We will have to collect from the sorting office, as we are out all day at a hockey tournament and if we get home to discover no post has arrived, we will have missed the hours the board office is open for calls.

I have been putting a positive spin on it all, reminding my daughter that she will quickly make friends wherever she goes and will be happy there.

Please don't worry about whether children will cope in certain schools, my top A Level student this year didn't originally get into our school with her B2, she got a place from the waiting list in Year 9 and has excelled ever since, outperforming students who had higher transfer scores. I am always telling my daughter that her score is a means to an end, simply to get her in the door of a school. What is more important is that she continues to do her best when she gets there.

    Good luck to everyone!
  • Hi everyone
At long last, we are nearly at the end of this process! Although I have not been too worried about our DS getting his first or second choice school I must admit it has popped into my mind more often than I would have liked since the results came out in February so it will be good to get the letter next Saturday so I won't have to think about it anymore. It will be good for the kids too as it is clearly on their minds, it has certainly been a topic of conversation among the P7s at my DS's school over the past few weeks. They are all aware that their letters are due to arrive in late May. Here's hoping we all get the good news we are hoping for come next Saturday. :)

    Hi All

Been reading this thread with interest and have enjoyed reading everyone else's experiences throughout this whole process.

D Day is nearly here - only 6 days away:eek:!

We put down only 2 choices for my son, first choice being Grosvenor, with the second as Wellington. Keeping everything crossed for Saturday! Really hopes he gets into his first choice school.

    Good luck guys X
