I saw that but I think it's jumping the gun.NiftyDigits wrote: »There is a PDF within my post #15.
The first thing to establish, before worrying about drivers, is it turned on?
From the manual it appears that Fn+F3 toggles it. So that's the first port of call.
Also, from the manual, it says that it's an option. Are you sure that you have that option? Is there a BT sticker on the casing? There doesn't have to be, but it's a clue.
BT is a network so select Start Button\Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center (sic)\Change adapter setting (on the left hand side). You should end up at Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections (dont'cha just love Win7?).
Is there a Bluetooth Network Connection? If not, try the Fn+F3 and see if it appears.
If it doesn't appear at all then you probably do not have BT.0 -

The PDF info was to assist you in the modification of your guide, as perhaps it was written for the Windows Stack.
The OP appears to have done a runner, so no feedback at all.

I'm still here, but waiting to see my son, who lives some distance away,as this is way above me. I am in no hurry, as I can use the headphones to phono cable.
The machine has Bluetooth and as Medion tech were given the model number (they won't correspond without it) they would have have told me I didn't have it, if that were the case. They said that audio should be transmittable, too. It does have the Bluetooth logo on F3 .
The manual covers several models but mine has, quoted from the box, ' Intel Centrino Wireless N2230 with integrated Bluetooth 4.0 Fast wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 n-standard technology'
I think we are going to try the Windows drivers which worked for a CNET member, then the dongle or possibly a Matalan transmitter....or a very long laptop jack to phono lead.0 -
Drivers provided by Windows are nothing more than "default" drivers which provide very basic support at best.I think we are going to try the Windows drivers
You need to ensure you have the proper manufacturer drivers and a decent Bluetooth stack installed, as your hardware should be more than compliant according to what you said.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -

It is not 'way above you'. You just have to be able to follow simple instruction.
In addition, you son does not need to be there at all. He could complete the job remotely in less than thirty minutes.
As to Drivers..... have you actually checked that the Driver to which zenmaster linked is installed?0 -

He does access my computers remotely and did so last night, but I'm not yet sure what the situation is, yet.
I'm very tempted to go for the easy option of a 5m jack to phono cable, as I know the sound is fine over cable, but there is the problem of the plastic liner breaking away in the headphone socket, meaning the plug is not held securely. Medion tech say they can't sell me the part (just a tiny plastic tube worth pence) but will do the repair for £100 ! (I don't think so)0 -

Goodness me...is this still going on?
You haven't actually done anything as of yet. You don't seem to know what your son is doing either.
This is a relatively simple issue, but it seems to be dragging on and on because of inaction.
Sending you a PM...0 -
I ordered a dongle, but won't need it as my son came over and sorted the connection. It was a problem with laptop drivers.0

Maybe he has a job to-do, not all config files can be altered remotely.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
