So normally how long does it take from solicitors receiving the mortgage offer to actually moving in?
Or searches have already been done, I guess with all the waiting I'm just impatient and want to get in!!

Paid for my searches last week after my answers from queries to the Vendor were received - all pretty much what I was expecting!
Now I guess I'm just waiting for the solicitors to do their stuff!!!0 -
thanks Kitty_kins I really can't wait the MA is very vague as to how long for offer, bearing in mind i waited 3 weeks for a survey i hope they hurry up !!!!If i knew the answers to all the questions i wouldn't be on here

Well, once ours was sorted out, it went straight to the underwriters (last Tuesday) and we were told an offer was in the post on Friday (I don't know if its arrived yet though as haven't been home) so hopefully any day now

quick question for people who have been approved for a halifax mortgage.
Did you have to provide a copy of the valuation report?
I've searched high and low for my copy of it but I cannot find it anywhere
I think our solicitors asked for it, but there is another part of me thinking that the bank wouldn't issue the offer without seeing and agreeing with the valuation first so perhaps they don't actually need it for the process to go ahead?
Kicking myself about this as I've got every piece of paperwork filed away neatly in the "black box" apart from this one damn bit.0 -

We had a copy of ours come in the post before the mortgage was approved, but no, we did not have to provide a copy of anything, its done on behalf of the lender so they get a copy anyway ?0 -
We actually received 3 copies of ours (why?!). Ours all say Halifax at the top of them so I would imagine that the bank have retained a copy. Our solicitors got a copy too, I think. Maybe yours got lost in the post? Either way, nobody seemed bothered about our valuation, just the mortgage offer. Hope this helps

I dont think that they would have offered the mortgage if they didnt agree with the valuation?
If you had the homebuyers report, mine shows the valuation in there...0 -
If you are buying a newbuild on HTB - EL, you'll need a copy of the mortgage report & valuation so your solicitor can forward it to the HCA HTB Agent to obtain the ATE.
You can get this ONLY by calling Colleys on 0845 602 2222 and quoting your roll no 10/5???????-??.I am a mortgage broker.
