Had a phone call from mortgage broker this morning saying that Halifax have approved us for a mortgage offer of £178500.
We originally asked for £181000 but can easily take the difference out of savings so after all the hassle with santander it looks like Halifax have gone through the new mmr process and approved us in record time!!
So so happy and can't wait to move in!!

Our latest Halifax case was offered today from an application submitted on 14th.

Great news!
Our mortgage broker got the letter in the post today so I'm hoping mine and the solicitors is due imminently.
Have called the solicitors to let them know it is on the way and we will be popping into their office when it arrives with our witness to sign the deeds and save on a couple of days of posting it out, and then posting it back and having to go through their mail system.0 -
I'm so jealous it's untrue. Ours has taken over a month and still no offer yet!0

Are you applying with Halifax and did you do it through a broker?
I'd be chasing the broker up to find out what is going on and why the hold up.0
