Thanks Dee. Greatly appreciated. I knew I'd get there in the end - practice makes perfect. Will post outcome in 6-8 weeks.0

Looks much better Mr Spock. A couple of points:
1. Costs of processing the PCN and the DVLA fee are arguably immediate and direct losses flowing from the parking event, so perhaps best omit those two from your list.
2. Presentationally it is nicely laid out and readable, but just for completeness, a bullet point list of your appeal paragraph headers would help the assessor go quickly to the silver bullet points.
You can then let it go.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Agreed - that's a much stronger set of appeal points.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I'm still awaiting result of appeal to POPLA (due mid Sept or likely later as per Dee's advice) I believe it's a breach of BPA COP to send a debt recovery letter. However, that's what I've received today - standard stuff no doubt with photocopied signature and charge now upped from £100 to £149. I'm supposed to pay up by 16th which is now likely to be before the appeal is heard otherwise they're recommending court action to the creditor's solicitor. What is procedure please for dealing with them?0

Complain to BPA. Send them a copy of letter. Give them dates etc of appeal going in.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Please do this Mr Spock. The BPA must sort this nonsense out; the more complaints they receive, with evidential proof of CoP-breaking activity, the sooner they will be forced to take some action! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. OK thanks. I'll happily complain to BPA but please also confirm there's no value in responding to DRP and pointing out the error of their ways.0
