ETA: I think it toook me almost as long to type that up as it did to do the jobs in the first place :rotfl:Another HHC anyone???? 12:15??

...and it has a laminated floor so I thought I would hoover the rest of downstairs so I could mop it at the same time,
then whilst waiting for the steam mop to heat up,
I hoovered up the stairs, landing and all the bedrooms,
I mopped all the downstairs and while I waited for it to dry I wiped the dining room table and chairs
dusted the dining room
unloaded the DW
wiped the kitchen over, again![/STRIKE]I've been on hold for 34 minutes
Next I'm going to;
[STRIKE]wrap up my friends birthday present and write on her card, it's not until the end of the month but I'm seeing her tomorrow,
put the rugs, throws and cushion covers back,
put away the washing

Ooh. I've got my tax credits pack and I can renew online. Hurrah. No waiting on hold for me fizz
I know I won't get any this year, and I do owe them some from that year I went from joint to single claim (for some reason they didn't start reducing my payments). So if I pay back the overpayment, does that just cancel my claims altogether? I'm hoping I won't get the whole renewal thing again next year...
Anyway. Still sunny here but more cloud than earlier. Have run the vac round and got in all the corners as I think the dandelions have finished moulting now (it's been like snow drifts here!)Bossymoo

Fifty Six minutes on hold to speak to the first person, only to be transferred and have to wait another 20 minutes. And in the end they just took my details and said they'd get an advisor to call me back. What a flippin' waste of time
I like to think I'm fairly astute when it comes to finances but I've never had my own pension (SAHM for a lot of years and then too poor to start up my own private pension); I've now fallen heir to half of KH's pension which was accrued during our marriage and I have absolutely no idea what I'm supposed to do with it. My brain aches0 -
Dye it another colour? Other than that I have no idea, you've used my entire arsenal.
Not possible.. it was worn once and isn't all one colour.. the one with cats Squeak is wearing in the pic I posted yesterday with OH and Pixie.ETA Again!: Pigpen, have you got any Elbow Grease? It's excellent at removing greasy stains, it might be worth a punt? Other than that I would probably just try hanging it out in bright sunshine for a while, see if the sun will fade it.
I don't want to fade the entire dress it will spoil it.. elbow grease I still have.. I'll wash it through again to get rid of vanish and try elbow grease next if that's not worked
just sat down again..
washing all done, on line, folded ready to be put away.. TD on with socks.. I am not hanging socks out!
stuff returned to car, stuff in freezer, pinks fed, tepee built, took down and shop emailed as the cover is incomplete and one of the sticks is broken..
Off to unload the DW and refill it and take the oven liner out so that at least is clean when the oven cleany dude arrives tomorrow!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Pigpen When all else fails with stains in this house I dose it liberally with lemon juice and hang it out on the line for a few days, even if it rains.
I did this once with a navy t-shirt of DD's and I thought I'd ruined it as it was covered in light patches, threw it in the wash for the hell of it and low and behold it came out navy all over again:D
Since my last post I have brought the wheelie bins back to the house, put another wash load in, 1 and a half wash loads out (no room without it getting covered in tree related ick from next doors sycamore tree ), had lunch and had a bathI did spend a good 20mins scrubbing my hair twice with shampoo and then conditioned it, leaving that to sit for a while after combing it through, then spent 5mins rinsing that out with freezing cold water otherwise I'd have taken longer :rotfl: I will get my hair healthy & its normal colour back if it kills me :rotfl:
Going to fling another wash load in, clean the brass, and then drag DD to Mr Al & Mr A with me since she's just text to say choir is cancelledI'm going for her cookery & packed lunch stuff anyways. Right, shifting myself!

Okay, now back from driving lesson (thankfully went pretty well) and have decluttered the 'rents who had been watching Noo for me. Going to try to complete as much of the list as possible before I walk down to BIL's birthday meal (will take about 30 minutes so need to leave at around half 5). I suppose at some point I should make myself presentable and maybe even get him a birthday card too! :rotfl: Noo is happily playing with her feet so going to have a bite to eat then crack on - HHC at 4pm anyone?

Glad the colour remover worked on your locks, nicki, keep on washin'
If you're still struggling with brassiness after a few days, you could try a purple shampoo -- Schwarzkopf Bonacure is excellent but fairly pricey, and you can usually pick up Provoke Touch of Silver in pound shops or cheapies like savers and Bodycare.
Shower curtains back in their rightful place, forgot to take bottles to the bank but I'll do that on the way to MIL's, the car park will be quieter then too so less chance of disapproving looks
Doctor visited and scripts obtained for DS1, will put them into the pharmacy tomorrow AM and collect PM.
Will pay my CC now and then boss DS2 into some homework before we head out. Ironing is NOT going to happen today.0 -
Hi - just a quick catch up. I gardened from 7 - 8 am - didn't finish - but found next door's cat's toilet!. Out until 1:30 ish then coffee and received another important email - which caused yet another three more!
Then did another hour gardening before DH came home to help with mulch laying. I tried to dig over what I had weeded earlier but back absolutely gone!!!! It is now raining so will have to finish weeding, digging rest and mulch laying tomorrow - please pray it stays fine - though we have had lightning forecast!!!
Also at weigh in first thing tomorrow so won't catch up with you all until later. You seem to have had a brilliant day from what I can see in my skim through the threads.July 16 £95/£200
