Yikes recovering spendaholic that must have been horrible  would have put me off my dinner and potatoes too!
2 shops today Sainsburys £4.33 needed rolled oats big ones and can't get them anywhere else - planning on trying a flapjack recipe from here, and Asda £9.86 needed laundry powder and bought curry stuff for tomorrow.
My Hello Fresh box is quite good actually, nice surprise and I am tempted to get another one if I can work it into my budget though I do think it's a bit pricey. Last night we had the Maille chicken Caesar salad - really easy to make and yummy! The chicken breasts were huge and there was enough sour cream and baby spinach for two meals so I cooked both chicken breasts and saved one and we had it again for lunch today. Tonight will be the Monkfish in a Hammock and tomorrow the curry.
Speaking of curry I have a few curries in my simply cook box to use as well yummy.Stay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

managed to use my £6 off £40 till spit in Mr T today.
my shopping list was about £8 short when I got there, but I remembered why I'd put on some items I'd then taken off last night (had money off vouchers that meant they were justifiable for getting), saw a chilled meal I thought DS1 might enjoy while I was away, and bought a 750g bag of cashews from the world food section (for £5) instead of a 150g bag from the nuts and seeds section (for £2.10). Also picked up a net of 6 limes instead of the individual one on my list - the individuals didn't look as nice, and I'm taking a fair few pop/flavoured water drinks away with me that I quite like a slice of lemon or lime in
Ended up at exactly £46 before the till spit was taken off, so I paid £40. One item wasn't grocery, so I've deducted that (and it's share of the voucher) - now need to adjust my signature to include a grocery spend of £37.83
Now way over target for this point of the month, but after I pick up a lot of salad and possibly a bit of veg on Sunday (and some milk to last DS1 for 10 days) that should be it until I get home on 19th other than a purchase (or two) of Grasmere Gingerbread and possibly a very heavily discounted food hamper.Cheryl0 -
Solstice_3 I am really interested in the simply cook and hello fresh boxes - they do seem a bit pricey, well the simply cook seems more reasonable. What are they like quantity wise? There are three of us - do you think that the box for two would do all three of us?
I love finding out about new things like this!Jane

Spent £7.70 today before taking of the fruit & veg voucher so a spend of £2.70 to add to total.
Will be using the other voucher tomorrow and now wished I had got another paper or two never mind it was a great offer anyway and cant grumble or be to greedy really.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

The hellofresh box I had a couple of months ago had a chicken breast dish. They were a good size (and very tender with loads of flavour), but I'd have been shot if I'd tried to stretch them beyond the two portions they were intended for. And I'd say the same of the other 2 meals in that box, plus all 3 meals in the Gousto box I had last month. Our normal meals fill a 12" plate (with a good third of it being veg, and the rest split between meat and potato) if that gives an indication of what's expected in this household.Cheryl0 -
