    Most people are probably perfectly happy until a "friend" tells them they are not.

    Keep your nose of of others' private business OP; unless you are prepared to get it bitten off, however well-intentioned you think you are being.

    Now, ME, on the other hand... young and single; bored with this state - feel free to fix me up! James Blunt would be nice, thank you. ;)

    I have been with my partner for almost 8 years now. We are not married and probably never will. If a friend of mine posted a thread like yours about it, I would have to think seriously about being friends with someone who is that judgemental.

    It has got nothing to do with you at all and 25 is still really young anyway. I would even go so far as to say that maybe best they don't get married any time soon as an awful lot of these early young relationships founder as the two people have never really experienced life as a single adult.
