Has she considered faking a pregnancy or a life threatening illness?0

I think you should plan a surprise wedding, arrange for all his and her family to attend, buy her a wedding dress and then tell her you're taking her for a spa day. Once she's all relaxed and fresh faced from her spa treatments, you can use a taser to knock her out, put her in the wedding dress, and drive her to the church. Get someone to do the same with her boyfriend, wheel them down the aisle, and when they awaken, they can say their vows. It's what a good friend would do.
Hmmmm I get the impression the OP might just take you at your word. Cant even begin to imagine the title of her next thread, with the sequel details :cool:The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
I was with someone for 11 years and we never married. Probably for the best as we've split now!
I'd marry the current beau, but he's not the marrying type. However, I'd rather have him without marriage than split up over it.
It's not your business, OP, and you may well lose your friend if you meddle.

You joined a Money Saving Forum to ask this? Odd. Are you sure it's not you who has had a boyfriend for 5 years but not been asked to get married?
If it really is your friend, & she's happy, why would you even consider approaching her just to pick holes in her relationship? Holes that quite possibly only you see? That's very interfering and actually quite spiteful.Please forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -

Should I have a chat with her, I feel like that's too long to wait.
Just wanna help her though she seems very happy in the relationship.
Hasn't she got a tongue in her head?
Sorry to be blunt but if she can't have this conversation with her boyfriend then heaven help her if she wanted to have a conversation about more serious matters2014 Target;
