I find it odd that there don't seem to be any standards for recycling.
My DC specifically say that we are not to put shredded paper in the recycle bin. I have no idea what makes shredded paper a problem.
The explanation in my area, was that the shredded paper falls through small gaps in the various conveyor belts, resulting in clogging of the machinery.
(Neighbour had official 'visit' after putting shredded paper in recycle bin.)Move along, nothing to see.0 -
